[00:01:06] or so. Gents, Nathan, my friend will start with you. How's your TOTS Premier League edition

[00:01:12] been so far? It's been pretty good so far, to be honest. The Pac Gods have been fairly

[00:01:16] good. I've not had the elite top tier ones but I've had some very solid polls.

[00:01:20] I did weekend league yesterday which started off horrifically and then I rallied and went on

[00:01:26] probably one of my best runs on weekend league for a while. I'm now grinding one of the SBCs

[00:01:32] which we'll come on to talk about. So yes, it's pretty positive just now.

[00:01:36] I've not pulled any of the elite ones, he says, whether it's Midfielders Declan Rice

[00:01:39] and Bruno Fernandez. Bruno wasn't Premier League TOTS so that was TOTS Live. You never

[00:01:43] mentioned that. Wow, whatever. Shaq, how are you my friend? I'm doing well, doing well. I think

[00:01:52] we had a good bit of luck with some of the backs up backed Hingman Son who's just slotted into the

[00:01:57] first team who I'll review later on as well and yeah otherwise weekend league was really good.

[00:02:02] I think it was probably a really good weekend league for me until the last game as I've been

[00:02:07] winging to UMB. I went across and got 13 and 7 in the end but my last game which I was hoping to win

[00:02:14] to get secure 14 for the first time this year, I got smashed. Absolutely smashed. I lost 6-0. No

[00:02:21] shame about it. It's the honest truth. I lost 6-0 and that just it felt like something just

[00:02:27] stomped on me and yeah, haven't recovered since so yeah there we go. Yeah your weekend league

[00:02:31] paralleled my own. I got 13 and 6 as well and in my key game to win 14, I also got utterly stomped

[00:02:38] by somebody earning a new account. I think it was like 4-0 up after an hour and I was just like

[00:02:43] I'm out of here. I'm just going to take my rewards and go. So it's that ever so close but

[00:02:48] ever so far for us Shaq, it's 11 wins death and taxes of the certainties in life for us at

[00:02:54] the moment. Not that we can complain because you know gives us two red picks. My two red

[00:02:58] picks I was like you, I got a bit lucky. I got son as one of them and I kind of remember who

[00:03:02] the other one was. I think it might have been Ben White. Nathan, who did you get in your

[00:03:06] heads this week? I got Allison and Watkins who I've had multiple times as Blues which was very

[00:03:14] frustrating that they were the best I could get so yeah. Shaq, who are yours? I got Enkunku

[00:03:23] and the other one was Olly Watkins. Yeah, Watkins. Yeah he seems to be popping up quite

[00:03:29] frequently. I think on my second account I got absolutely beyond awful given a mind that that

[00:03:33] is the account really needs good players and I think the best I got was Allison and Gabrielle.

[00:03:37] So that's so much for a new account luck and all that jazz but look let's get into what the rest

[00:03:41] of the good has been for the team of the season so far. I think the guys talked about it

[00:03:45] on Friday night show but I love the amount of players that are in packs and the accessibility

[00:03:50] of them as well. Okay look they're not coming out of every single pack but I mean Shaq the

[00:03:54] prices of some of these really good team of the season and moments cards and Tots plus cards.

[00:03:58] I'm just going to call them all team of the seasons by the way because I do not want to keep

[00:04:02] talking to them Tots plus Tots moments whatever they're all team of the season cards to me.

[00:04:05] Yeah, deal with it. But the amount of these cars that are in packs Shaq and the price

[00:04:10] even if you don't pack them is just great to be able to build a nice creative team.

[00:04:16] Absolutely. I think that's one of the key differences that we find between team of the

[00:04:19] season team of the year. These cards are all almost I mean apart from Harlan and Virgil van

[00:04:24] Dijk the rest of the cards are really attainable and there's something that we can aspire to

[00:04:28] and it's really good. I think having that the tradable pack that came out where you could do

[00:04:32] twice for 1.5 million coins and get some tradable cards along the way that really has helped

[00:04:37] these prices go down and be attainable. I mean some of these prices are ridiculous.

[00:04:41] They're so cheap for how good the cards are but then you have cards that are 50k that

[00:04:45] are phenomenal as well. So it's a great time to keep changing your squad to be honest.

[00:04:51] Yeah, Naif what's been the best thing for you so far about this team of the season

[00:04:54] promenade specifically since we spoke last Tuesday?

[00:04:58] Yeah, I'm really enjoying the grind. During Tots Live I ended up accruing lots and lots

[00:05:03] of exchange packs. So I went into Tots with over 200 packs stored. I had a stag

[00:05:10] do at the weekend so I got a little bit drunk and then packed Declan Rice. I opened the big

[00:05:15] packs then but my pack count at the moment is 123 so I estimate there's about 115 exchanges

[00:05:22] and I've got through all the 7 plus ones so I think the less I've got at the moment is the

[00:05:30] 19 gold cards so that's a lot to grind and we've always got the 81 plus player pick.

[00:05:35] I did the first one today and got a mislera who isn't usable but it definitely helps

[00:05:39] the SBC grind for Chloe Kelly. So I've managed to do all apart from the 285 team so far because

[00:05:46] I've just run out of time and I've not even had to throw in many specials, not had to put any

[00:05:50] coins in. I'm just loving recycling all of these into the grind.

[00:05:54] But let's talk about Chloe Kelly then because she was released as an SBC on Monday night.

[00:05:58] One of our, I'll be talking about Chloe Kelly's cards since the very start of this game

[00:06:02] so I absolutely loved that gold card and then she kind of got ignored really until

[00:06:06] fantasy where she got a fantastic card that was so expensive you couldn't really get hold of it.

[00:06:11] I was using that card when it dropped in price in the last couple of weeks

[00:06:15] and I said on this very show to you Shack Attack and to you Nathan Downes,

[00:06:21] because Shack tempted me with rear Fernand. He said oh this is the guy that can stop

[00:06:27] at a drug bar he's brilliant. So I was like you know what I've got I had 50 odd really good

[00:06:32] pack saved open them all and I thought right this is what I'm doing Operation Rio. Everyone went in

[00:06:38] everybody you know all of the cards I've been hanging on to for a long while everybody went in

[00:06:43] you got this two million coin SBC done for probably I spent maybe about 100-150k just

[00:06:48] to finish off a couple of the top end squads but and then of course within two days and be

[00:06:52] finishing that SBC Chloe Kelly comes out. Shack do you want to apologize to me here

[00:06:57] and now on the show because I think you should. Point number one Rio is still good. Rio is still

[00:07:04] bloody good he's really good it doesn't matter if you have a hanko or you have anyone else

[00:07:09] because he's way better than Konate he's a really good center back so and he got you

[00:07:13] close to the promised plan promised plan so he did the same for me as well this weekend so

[00:07:18] I'm really happy with Rio I didn't have an objection with that. With Kelly I do feel

[00:07:23] sorry for you I do I as soon as Kelly came out the first person I thought of was you that's why

[00:07:28] Dexter did he's saying Dan look what's coming but having said that though I mean she's incredible

[00:07:35] she's grindable you still have weeks to go ahead and you can grind her slowly and you can

[00:07:39] you can finally get her in your team but you have an alternative that you can actually

[00:07:42] buy off the market that you can use that who I think is personally think is better than Chloe

[00:07:47] but that's that we could talk about Lauren Hemp later but yeah it's um it's sorry here is what it

[00:07:54] is but hey you got close to 14 so there you go Rio has done his bit yeah no apology needed because

[00:07:59] it also just because yeah Ferdinand is absolutely fantastic I don't regret doing that as we see

[00:08:03] one bit I think what you were talking about when you were reviewing him and talking about the

[00:08:07] SBC last week in the weeks before he's just got that ability to effortlessly take the ball

[00:08:11] of someone I don't think I've seen someone as clean with that anticipate plus just goes

[00:08:17] next someone is just kind of just whisks the ball away so cleanly and gets you moving again so

[00:08:22] I'm pairing him and deci at the moment and I absolutely love that defensive pairing so yeah

[00:08:26] but it is always I said this last week it's sod's law that of course as soon as you do

[00:08:31] one massive SBC the next one you want to come out does um does go into I mean this Chloe

[00:08:36] Kelly card is fantastic if you haven't used that for fancy card which by the way there's not a

[00:08:41] hell of a lot of difference between the two so if you are on the fence because Kelly

[00:08:46] will cost you about a million coins worth of fodder if you are on the fence go and pick up

[00:08:49] that blue card the fancy card because it'll give you a really good idea of how she's in game I think

[00:08:54] she's fantastic if you are someone that does like to cross the ball into the box absolutely

[00:08:58] perfect she's got a great turn of pace as well as she can finish so there is nothing there's

[00:09:03] no real weakness with the card other than speaking of weakness the strength as with a lot

[00:09:09] of the female players they will sometimes get bullied off the ball but she's not you know

[00:09:14] she's stronger to me than someone like a Messi was or using some versions of Neymar for example so

[00:09:19] she could definitely hold a row but of course when you are coming up against the likes of

[00:09:22] canate sometimes you will feel the effects of that or you got Mukhi Eley um it's playing at

[00:09:27] fullback as well she'll struggle there but I think for a million coins a lot of people

[00:09:31] naith are saying that this SBC is overpriced and I'm glad people are saying it's overpriced

[00:09:36] because I don't want too many people to have this card because it's actually a lot better

[00:09:39] than most people realize yeah absolutely when it was launched it was I think it was coming in

[00:09:43] just under 1.1 um Fod has obviously taken a massive nose-ties again because it's just looking now it's

[00:09:48] sort of 795 to 700 so it's not it's not bad at all it's not bad value you put a finisher on her

[00:09:54] and she actually just looks like stupidly good if you use 4 2 3 1 4 3 2 1 or you know I'm a 5 2 2 1

[00:10:01] like she just she looks like she can do a bit of everything apart from her aggression super

[00:10:05] duper low um I just think that's a really nice rounded card um I'm really excited we've got

[00:10:11] drugba up front we've got a group chat on the go which we've now renamed the DDA drugba

[00:10:15] appreciation society and I think Chloe Kelly and obviously Lauren hemp if you have her as well we'll

[00:10:20] just feed into acts I could just imagine our weapon those crosses into the box drugba bullying

[00:10:24] his way forward like I'm two squads away from doing it I'm so excited to get around yeah you

[00:10:30] just imagine when you run into a team that's got hemp and Kelly on the wings and then drugba

[00:10:34] and crouch up front that you just know you're going to be in for an oh that's the dream world of

[00:10:38] pain that is the dream I mean you add Mukhi Ali and Robert O'Callow's at the wing bags oh

[00:10:44] that's just gonna be disgusting look you're giving everybody ideas keep it quiet keep it quiet

[00:10:50] that'll be our formation and players in review next week is all for the river so running that's

[00:10:54] that style um but one person to help combat that those crosses of course is canate we

[00:10:59] mentioned him he did get released as an sbc over the weekend a lot of hype around this card

[00:11:04] and it looks really good but Shaq a lot of the reviews I'm seeing are just saying that he is just

[00:11:09] a bit too clunky and that people are concerned that this is a bit overpriced what you're actually getting

[00:11:15] I'm really surprised with this one because a lot of people use the fantasy card including

[00:11:19] myself and I found the fantasy card really average to be honest I really didn't enjoy him at all

[00:11:25] and a lot of people just seem to have forgotten that card and just assume that this card is the

[00:11:29] second coming of a real or whatever they just expected this card to be amazing this card wasn't

[00:11:35] good before and I'm I think some of the reviewers like Inception and that really gave it high

[00:11:41] regard and I think that's that's made a lot of people go ahead and do the sbc and then realize

[00:11:44] oh it's not much better than the fantasy card um it's not for me I think it's I know Dan you're

[00:11:51] using this ie and this ie works for you I've got the evo version of this ie that he's great

[00:11:58] when he can tackle but if you have to make him chase and get the ball or if he just misses the

[00:12:03] interception you're stuffed there's nothing he can do there he's done pretty slow he can run fast and

[00:12:08] kunate is going to have the same issue yeah I've got that evo version as well and it's exactly

[00:12:12] the same which is why having Rio in there as opposed to soul camber I think has balanced out

[00:12:15] my defense because I was going with two more more strong defenders um who weren't quite as

[00:12:21] mobile I was getting caught um on the turn and on the counter so yeah having that bit of pace

[00:12:25] alongside desei but I mean I love desai as a card although I do wish now I'd evoed soul camber

[00:12:31] because I think again I have that more as a you know personal love for soul having watched

[00:12:37] implant in the Premier League growing up um but yeah never mind it's just one of those

[00:12:42] shoulda woulda kudas um so yeah kunate coming in at about half a million coins I think you

[00:12:46] know Nathan you were mentioning when you got cards like ben white out there that are less

[00:12:51] than 100k it's it's a hard one to commit to yeah absolutely I did contemplate doing

[00:12:56] him when I saw him but I compared him with Gabrielle who and Gabrielle's really cheap just now I

[00:13:01] think he's at 50k 26 on pc if you're on that mentally low um and Gabrielle's he's got better

[00:13:07] play styles for me anyway um he's slightly slower but he doesn't feel too slow actually so

[00:13:13] yeah I think half a million or 600 000 coins for um kunate actually is I think that's over

[00:13:19] price but I think if this card was released a few weeks ago you'd be saying it's decent value

[00:13:24] but I think just with how low the rest of the tots cards are and how good some of them are

[00:13:28] um and I think some people overlook because everybody wants um wants a silly borough of

[00:13:34] van dyke so there's some of these I think do get overlooked but if you give them a go like

[00:13:37] it's unreal like uh Gabrielle and and ben white as a partnership works so well so I would

[00:13:43] I wouldn't really waste the fodder on it I would go and look at cheaper alternatives that

[00:13:46] keep kind of popping out of the packs yeah and I think one of the other things that you know

[00:13:52] through using that second account has taught me and the guys were talking about this I can't

[00:13:57] remember if it was on this Friday show might be the Friday before there was a conversation

[00:14:00] they were having about cordoba and john was sort of saying that look you don't need to massively

[00:14:05] worry that he's short because that's not really been in I know we've just been joking about

[00:14:09] lobbing the balls into the box to drug bar and crouch but very few people are actually doing

[00:14:13] that so I've been using um Wattie Lee and Moy on the second account who's obviously not a giant

[00:14:20] defender but she's got three play style pluses and is just does a really good job um so I think

[00:14:27] that you know you look at a lot of the cars like Greenwood as well from the wsl team and actually

[00:14:33] there's lots of really good defenders not to mention the likes of Hanco as well in st

[00:14:36] juice day the actual allure of going somewhere like a canate I think is less I don't think you

[00:14:42] have to go down that route now to have a very good defender shack

[00:14:47] exactly exactly you can get away with a lot I think some of the the Hancos and stuff I've

[00:14:52] been using I packed a Hanco and I've been using um him aspiringly during the weekend league as well

[00:14:57] and that's a phenomenal card and he's 50k he's 50k he's strong he can pass really well

[00:15:03] when there's a whole variety of cards I mean you don't necessarily have to put in these cards

[00:15:07] that you think would be the best as a whole amount of options that you can actually try and use

[00:15:11] in your squads and um yeah canate is not just not for me that's for sure yeah look we got so much more

[00:17:01] team this season premier league so far let's get on to some of the bad and shack there was a video

[00:17:08] that was released by nick from the foot market over the weekend i think it was on saturday night

[00:17:13] at night where he's usually not even on the game having a real full blown um i don't want to

[00:17:20] say ran because i think that's doing a disservice it was a very rational well thought out

[00:17:26] but critique of ea sports and the strategy they're going down with this game because i think what got

[00:17:31] his ire was the 750 000 coin pack which costs you 5000 fc points to do and again he's touched on some

[00:17:44] of the issues that we've been talking about throughout you know throughout my history of hosting on

[00:17:47] this show the potential problems with vulnerable people and gambling um and the attraction it

[00:17:54] can have to those who maybe you know don't have the right finances or the emotional and practical

[00:18:01] maturity to be able to make those decisions i mean shack what did you think when you saw a that 750

[00:18:08] 000 coin pack and b when you watch next video firstly with a 750 000 coin pack i wasn't surprised

[00:18:16] and neither of us none of us are surprised because this is what he is be slowly building up

[00:18:20] to and i won't be surprised if he's a million coin pack before the end of the cycle that's

[00:18:24] not that's not something that we should be surprised about but the fact that he is

[00:18:29] ready to grab money that's been evident from day one literally day one when not many people

[00:18:34] were on the game they actually had promo packs in the store so that's that's the avenue that

[00:18:38] that's the that's the the path they've chosen to go the one thing that i'm finding really

[00:18:43] interesting is that a lot of people a lot of people that even held coins really dearly

[00:18:48] to themselves and didn't want to spend coins anywhere are using those coins to open packs

[00:18:52] i was a complete no no even until fifa 23 complete no no you'd never use coins every single person

[00:18:59] on every single podcast every single video say never use coins to open packs right now

[00:19:05] no one gives a toss everyone's just opening these packs through coins and i've seen some

[00:19:09] videos where people had 750 000 coins and they used all of it on that pack is it good

[00:19:14] not really but it's if that's working for them that's completely fine they go zero and it did

[00:19:18] not tempted to put on any money to actually open the packs i'm okay with that but the temptations

[00:19:23] are increasing day and day out like for example the person who spends every thousand coins on opening

[00:19:28] a premier league dots pack come bundlesleague he's probably got maybe 50k 100k what happens then

[00:19:35] and he wants to open another pack what do you do then that's the issue and that's where

[00:19:39] they will eventually get you the house always wins i will i can guarantee you all those

[00:19:43] people opening coins opening packs or coins eventually by ultimate dots you will be completely

[00:19:49] rare of coins and you will have to open those packs through money and that's my concern because you're

[00:19:55] so used to it you use the dopamine hit and that's what yeah it'll work yeah it will work for a year

[00:20:00] and that's sad and nate that's what we were talking about just before we came on air isn't it it's

[00:20:04] the coins are actually harder and harder to make this year now ea been if you want to call

[00:20:09] it generous in that they've been throwing packs that is left right and center but they're all

[00:20:12] untradable they're all untradable yeah there's the the very odd mega pack you'll get in a marquis

[00:20:19] matchups or rare electron players pack you're getting a challenge and of course you get an

[00:20:23] ultimate pack from doing your getting 11 wins but most time that's trash hasn't even got a minimum

[00:20:28] guarantee on it so generating these coins has never been harder you look at the fodder prices

[00:20:34] now you pull a an 86 out of a pack you pull an 86 out of a preview pack you think great

[00:20:39] I can go and do another preview pack now an 86 costs about four five k so if you get a walk out

[00:20:46] from your gold preview pack it's not actually going to cover the cost so as Shaq said it's kind of

[00:20:52] great while people who have been slowly steadily building up these coins throughout the year can

[00:20:55] now go and spend that 750k but I don't think you're doing a good enough job of allowing people

[00:21:01] to generate the coins to open these big packs yeah absolutely and we've said it like countless

[00:21:06] times over the last few years that like I felt like they were sort of clamping down on trading for

[00:21:12] the last couple of years whether it's you know making changes to marquis matchups or league sbcs

[00:21:17] or and I think last year they started to bring more untradable and obviously it's almost fully

[00:21:22] untradable now so it's not a surprise the surprise was that the big pack in the store

[00:21:27] I believe was tradable so it's 750k with a bit of luck you make half that back potentially

[00:21:34] depends who you pull some of them you know two of the season prices are low around but

[00:21:38] you do have that ability to make some back I'm not I'm not excusing it by any manner of means but

[00:21:43] that surprised me I thought they would have just gone down the untradable route for it but

[00:21:46] maybe they thought elevating the cost they had to make it tradable in a way um but I did not

[00:21:53] see that coming to be honest I've I'm resistant temptation because we've got so many ways to

[00:21:57] grind packs and players um usually this is a sort of thing I would be spending my money on

[00:22:02] you know I got Bruno from the 200k uh player pick in lifetots I'll put 200k on that and even

[00:22:07] then I was sort of getting the shakes that I'm spending 200 000 coins on that um so but this

[00:22:12] usually would be something that I'd be all over but there's so many ways and to be honest you see

[00:22:17] it because you're seeing the same players just about pop out of all your packs it just makes

[00:22:21] me think I'm just getting the same players like my red picks are the same as you know my normal

[00:22:25] packs so for me they've actually over killed it to the extent that you don't have any

[00:22:30] expectations so there's no point me actually going for it yeah I just doesn't see easier with

[00:22:37] me and the point Nick made about you know you could go and spend hundreds if not thousands of pounds in

[00:22:43] one go in the store is what it doesn't sit right with me yeah look and look at how far our expectations

[00:22:50] have fallen Nathan but you're talking about oh I'm surprised they made it tradable this is a

[00:22:54] 750 000 coin pack that will cost you 4 000 fc points best part of 30 quid and we're saying oh isn't it nice

[00:23:04] of them and surprising of them that they've made something that someone spends 30 pounds with a real

[00:23:08] money and you might actually get some some slight value back from it not to mention the fact

[00:23:15] gents that it's and I'm not here to shame anybody that's doing it it's a game please have fun

[00:23:19] the way you want to especially you know if you if you're financially stable if that's the choice you

[00:23:24] want to make please do so we're not going to dissuade anyone or shame anybody for doing so but

[00:23:29] check we're in may tomorrow may starts and the new game will come out in September you've got at

[00:23:37] best what 16 18 weeks there for these cars and you've got people are still putting more than

[00:23:44] the cost of the actual game on on a single pack I think one of the things I really want to

[00:23:50] point out as well is I don't know if you guys have actually noticed these packs but there's

[00:23:54] there's a tradable there's a 750 coin thousand coin pack there's two that you can get that are

[00:23:59] tradable and there's two that you can get that are untradable yeah and the untradable one actually

[00:24:04] has a guarantee of the level of thoughts you can get like at 90 I can't even remember I think

[00:24:09] it's 98 plus or what yeah 90 yeah there you go there's some sort of rating there the tradable

[00:24:14] one has no cap so you can literally end up with 288 in your tradable pack that's number one

[00:24:20] with regards to people opening all these packs are coins and as you said Nate it's the same

[00:25:05] away and start just jumping at the bits thinking these these are going to be the best cards you

[00:25:09] can pack not really this is not even the year they will be out of cards I'll come out over the next

[00:25:13] couple of weeks that you will not even care about these cards so essentially it's completely your

[00:25:17] choice if you want to open packs or coins or through money it's your choice but my recommendation

[00:25:31] testament to how unattainable the biggest players are normally we'd be scraping upwards

[00:25:44] cycling back in FIFA 23 as well Shaq you know we did a trading show that we've kind of wound

[00:25:49] down almost now to the point because trading yeah you can still do it there are ways and look

[00:25:56] there are trading patrons and discords and we give the best advice that we can and if you are

[00:26:00] you know you really put your time and you can make it but for the casual player now

[00:26:05] getting enough coins to get these top players has never been harder as I said you know you

[00:26:09] can get a two walkouts in a pack and it's not even paying for the cost of it so it's

[00:26:15] it is it is frustrating and I think the point that both of you two were making about

[00:26:20] you know the fact that you open these packs and you're trying to and you're not actually

[00:26:24] getting good value in a weird way I think we'll pave the way for EA to introduce this

[00:26:30] concept that we've talked about players just being in the store because people will say

[00:26:35] people will suddenly be receptive to it because at the moment they're spending 30 40 pounds on these

[00:26:39] big packs and not getting what they want EA then turns around said oh well you don't like

[00:26:44] well how about we give you know you spend 40 pounds how about we give you that play you

[00:26:48] really want instead and just you know take the worry off of it and it just it's just very

[00:26:53] slowly conditioning people I think to be able to accept it now again I don't want to be sitting here

[00:26:58] saying that's a good or a bad thing my personal opinion is I would like to see players more

[00:27:03] obtainable as Adam says be more attainable for everybody playing the game and I think that's

[00:27:07] what Nick was saying as well is that you need to give people a route to these players that

[00:27:11] doesn't involve putting in real world currency but at the same point you know we talk about

[00:27:17] well these players will be you know useless in three or four weeks if you're going to spend 40

[00:27:20] pounds on a takeaway that's going to be gone in an hour so yeah and you're not particularly

[00:27:24] worried that you spent 40 pounds and you know you've only got a couple of boxes to show for it

[00:27:29] so look people can spend their money where they want but I do think there does need

[00:27:33] a redress of that balance between rewarding players that just want to play the game

[00:27:37] that have an easier route to achieving these top top players and I don't think

[00:27:42] it's there and Adam continues with I feel the emergence of three players our pluses

[00:27:46] are rendering the big icons from old promos way less desirable and Nathan we saw this icon pack

[00:27:52] released over the weekend as well this 90 plus on core icon pack and again it was terrible because

[00:27:58] as Adam says like 99% of these icons now are completely useless yeah absolutely before we came

[00:28:05] on air we were talking about sort of squad building and I had said to you you know we've

[00:28:08] both got that 96 as a winter world car pillow and I'm finding that he's actually not as

[00:28:14] outstanding as he was two weeks ago now so he's going to be dropped out once I either pack or buy

[00:28:19] probably gar nacho or hemp so like we think you'd think a 96 pellet would probably actually see

[00:28:26] you through the rest of the cycle obviously there'll be better versions but you'd think he'd be

[00:28:30] you know on par for the whole the whole game but realistically have had what four weeks of it

[00:28:34] maybe five weeks and now he's not trash by any means but he's also not elite or stand out

[00:28:40] especially compared to some of the cards coming out so yeah the icons are falling away so I can see

[00:28:46] them potentially doing a whole icon promo but like we had to go out so that they brought out heroes

[00:28:50] that were better I can see them maybe doing another version of that but maybe icon based rather than

[00:28:55] hero based potentially or something like a hybrid of the two but I can definitely see them

[00:29:00] bringing something to that elk of you know where they make these a little bit more usual

[00:29:04] because icons are what everybody wants you know you even now if you get a golden white flare

[00:29:09] you will still be buzzing until you get that 88 rakel me or whoever you get but

[00:29:14] like you do you get a different type of rush from an icon than anything else really like

[00:29:19] even the blues that you get now it's a bit like well it's a team of this season

[00:29:22] it's going to be drear or somebody that you've had 42 times already but

[00:29:27] a golden white still think that hits differently so I could see them bringing that back

[00:29:40] a big credit to EA and we're talking about the better benefits and merits and the pros and cons of

[00:29:45] buying these big store packs now you think of the people that were spending big on these store packs

[00:29:50] two three months ago you know and that's the thing these packs have been out pretty much

[00:29:53] since the start you think of the people that have spent hundreds of pounds on these big

[00:29:57] packs and then they're looking at these cards that are so beyond fodder I mean what I genuinely

[00:30:04] wonder and we'll have to you know if you've got thoughts please let us know on foot coaching

[00:30:08] you know you know submit them nonlessly if you care so how do you feel now having spent big money

[00:30:14] or even big coins on these massive packs in the past and as Adam says seeing these new

[00:31:12] just because he's a united boy I want to get him in so I'll buy him otherwise

[00:31:18] but that's pretty much it I'm putting everything into that high rated goes into Chloe Kelly

[00:31:22] once she's done high rated will stay in the club then the dupes will go into the exchanges

[00:31:26] then I'll just recycle through you know and I go over 85 we'll go on the exchanges

[00:31:31] anything under that will go into the team of the weak packs or team of the weak picks sorry

[00:31:35] or the I've done a few of those 85 plus packs picks which were terrible but they gave me extra

[00:31:40] for Kelly as well so that's the way that I'm constantly recycling so I don't actually

[00:31:45] have enough time for game time because the menu grind is so in depth just now

[00:31:50] yeah I think the one thing I just add I suppose into the bad section and leads into this

[00:31:54] shack is that we haven't yet seen the return of the league specific upgrades of course you remember

[00:31:59] in team the year and team the season's past you get that premium and standard Premier League

[00:32:04] upgrade that gives you what three rares and seven commons or eight commons whatever they

[00:32:09] decide to want to put it in it but we haven't seen it as of yet as of early Tuesday morning so

[00:32:14] I think shacken it is going to come out we'll see it tonight otherwise it looks like EA are just

[00:32:18] going to stick with that 77 plus league specific upgrade I know when we spoke about it last week

[00:32:24] we both we all said I'll be prefer the pigs but I think I'm done with these pigs because I'm not

[00:32:28] getting anything from these pigs and I know someone has mentioned that the 77 plus Premier League

[00:32:33] and BWSL League upgrade kind of replaces what we were expecting but that's nothing that's not

[00:32:38] even that's doesn't do anything 77 plus you're just bound to get two random cards that you don't

[00:32:43] really have that you're not going that you're just going to put into 81 plus pick anyway so

[00:32:48] we'll really need some league specific picks we just need something different we just need a

[00:32:52] league specific backs rather we just need something different because I think the 80 plus

[00:32:55] picks and the 81 plus picks we've had them for such a while now and they're just not hitting

[00:32:59] anymore they're just not providing us the cards that we're looking for and sure enough in if

[00:33:04] you do 50 you might get a couple of walkouts maybe two or three walkouts that's just not

[00:33:08] good enough it makes the whole point makes a whole grind pointless in my opinion I'm wondering

[00:33:13] yeah I'm gonna nerf that because we've had we've not just got Premier League now we've got Premier

[00:33:18] League WSL and is it the Portuguese League as well so I'm wondering whether because there's more

[00:33:22] impacts they're just gonna not bring out any league specifics and just say we're actually

[00:33:27] doing your favor by having you this sort of wider variety of players and you know potential to

[00:33:33] get more thoughts by doing it that way so I don't know I hope they do bring it back but I

[00:33:36] wouldn't surprise me if we don't see them because there's an extra team because we're not having the

[00:33:40] minor leagues out on a Tuesday the minor league seems to be included straight away

[00:33:44] yes this whole mixed league concept isn't I think we're just gonna have various mixed league

[00:33:50] teams throughout the cycle because obviously they're going to find a way to get over an

[00:33:53] Aldo in to get name our in and all these players playing a messy so they'll do kind of a

[00:33:59] mixed batch I think throughout this whole team of the season but my grind at the moment

[00:34:03] I've been going being quite quite precious with my coins and going through the league sbcs and

[00:34:08] if you want to keep your coin balance or make coins the best way to go is through the premium

[00:34:12] league sbc it will just take you longer that's the only thing but you've got a chance of getting

[00:34:17] something big tradable and of course that could you know be game changing for you and then any

[00:34:22] spares and off leagues they're going into the picks and team of the week picks as well

[00:34:27] so that's the way I'm going it but I'm gonna wait and see if tonight they do sell

[00:34:32] those league upgrades if the league upgrades come back I'm going to go full send in to them

[00:34:36] and just throw caution to the wind if they don't return then I'll probably just go

[00:34:40] hell for leather in the 81 pluses and see what my fortunes lie and just recycle through

[00:35:07] league thoughts session and it was team of the season Hyun Min Son initially I really

[00:35:15] he replaced my Benzema in my squad and I wasn't a huge fan initially took me a while to get

[00:35:21] used to and I just thought it was going to be this guy should be better than Benzema

[00:35:25] why is he not doing this why is he not doing that once I understand how his runs were working

[00:35:30] what kind of movements he makes because he's a high high so he just comes all the way back

[00:35:34] and then he goes all the way from the score his finesse shots are ridiculous absolutely

[00:35:39] ridiculous but the problem is you can't finesse from inside the box or the more absurd

[00:35:45] the angle the more absurd the distance the better the chance of going in and it works

[00:35:49] it's just it's just brings brings me back the memories of the first couple of weeks of Feeha

[00:35:53] where Hyun Min Son was amazing this guy's dad good he's a lot of fun he's a lot of fun in game

[00:35:59] yeah an absolute perfect all-round attacker said I got him in my red picks I've only used him for

[00:36:22] utilise that more and Nate who is your player in review today yeah I'm going to review Ben White

[00:36:27] who I've had multiple times through the through Premier League talks and originally I sort of

[00:36:32] scoffed at him I thought he's rubbish didn't realise he could play centre back I thought as a

[00:36:36] right back his stats are definitely not suited for a right back but because I play 5-2-2-1

[00:36:42] I like my middle centre back on join the attack so I thought he's hi hi I'm going to

[00:36:46] stick him in I put a shadow on him so he's almost maxed out pace defending is

[00:36:50] ridiculously good he's got really good play styles he's got long ball pass wet pass and intercepts

[00:36:55] all his plusses plus he's got you know the standard defensive normal play style so

[00:37:00] I had him as my middle centre back what a machine he is he actually stopped me doing

[00:37:03] Rio Ferdinand I'm not saying he's as good as Rio Ferdinand but when you're talking 60k

[00:37:07] against two million happily take him it's tackling to really clean the ball six with him

[00:37:13] his long ball he can play out from the back he can play to either wing he's just got

[00:37:16] everything you want as a ball player and I wouldn't use him necessarily as a back two though

[00:37:20] because the hi hi I always struggle with that I find they go they get a little bit too adventurous

[00:37:24] and go gallivanting on an adventure but if you play a three-year back and you want one a little

[00:37:28] bit more aggressive or progressive he's definitely want to have a look at for very few coins

[00:37:35] yeah great investment I said I think I've got him on main account I may have to give him a

[00:37:39] run out in rivals or something this week and the player I'm going to review we talked about

[00:37:43] her earlier is Lauren hemp went I had Chloe Kelly's foot fancy through weekend league

[00:37:50] once completed that I thought you know what I'm going to go try Lauren hemp because

[00:37:53] a prize dropped all the way down to sort of around about 850,000 coins so I thought you

[00:37:57] know what I'm gonna buy her and try her out in this rival session absolutely fantastic the 99 pace

[00:38:03] I don't think she feels like the very fastest players in the game but it's very close it

[00:38:08] is you know she is absolutely rapid she's got that whipped cross and again the finishing is much

[00:38:14] better than you think it is even in the air she was winning a surprising amount when I was whipping

[00:38:18] crosses from the other flank in with son to her she was controlling the ball really well and finishing

[00:38:23] with ease so again if you have got some slightly more coins if you are up towards you know that

[00:38:27] one one and a half million pound coin balance then you're looking for somebody and you don't

[00:38:31] want to commit all your fodder into Chloe Kelly I think fantastic as to which one of the

[00:38:36] two will be the better I'm really looking forward to trying out this Chloe Kelly card and

[00:38:40] comparing the two of them but I think if you're looking for a try before you buy definitely go

[00:38:44] down the hemp route I think you know easily a top tier attacker and she was keeping Messi's

[00:38:50] team of the year out of my team which is the biggest praise I suppose I can give for that card

[00:38:55] so well worth it. I just want to add to the Lauren hemp I think one of the things

[00:39:01] that I loved about that card is you could play her in multiple positions I played her in

[00:39:04] center midfield because I was playing a five with the back I'm sorry about that but it was

[00:39:08] five with the back with three midfielders and she was playing as my left LCM in that formation

[00:39:14] and the tiki-taka plus was phenomenal absolutely phenomenal she was so good I really really

[00:39:20] thoroughly enjoyed her and she's got 99 agility 99 balance if I'm not mistaken

[00:39:24] she was just weaving through players and her skill moves come off really well

[00:39:28] and personally looking at the cards I just compared both the cards just based on stats

[00:39:32] for me I think hemp's the better version very better card to go but the one thing I just noticed

[00:39:37] just now was that Chloe Kelly's got 95 strength 90 92 strength yeah that's bizarre 92 strength that's

[00:39:45] that's great yeah it's just and I mentioned it earlier I think it's just the body type

[00:39:49] means is that that she does sometimes get bullied off the wall by the very strong defenders

[00:39:54] but as I mentioned she can absolutely hold her own she holds her own more than

[00:39:57] and this is just a blue card I haven't even used the team this season this was just

[00:40:00] the foot fancy cards holds her own more than some of the the more nimble other attackers even on the men's

[00:40:05] side so now I'm really looking forward to getting this just be seen done I know Nate

[00:40:08] you'll be getting it done as well so look we'll both have be able to review it in full and again

[00:40:12] it's out for a while so you don't have to jump in a shack says you've got plenty of time to

[00:40:15] grind out the you know 84 by seven picks you know the 81 plus picks whether we get league

[00:40:20] specific upgrades as well there's going to be plenty of ways to obtain this card
