[00:00:32] [SPEAKER_01]: things we love, some things we've hated, some menus and much, much more.

[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, doing really well.

[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_02]: The game is what the game is, it's fine, it's day four or day three of the game, or

[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_02]: day four of the game.

[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_02]: There's ups and there's downs.

[00:00:52] [SPEAKER_02]: So okay, so far.

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Nathan doesn't feel like it's been four or five days.

[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_00]: It feels like we've already been playing this game for about three weeks.

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_00]: It does, it feels like it's been out for a while and that's me that's not played over

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_00]: the weekend either so I've had less game time but enjoying it so far.

[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_00]: I think there's obviously things that we've said in the last pod where we were sitting

[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_00]: on the fence about and there's things looking good, some things looking not so good,

[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_00]: but just keep reminding myself that it's the very start of the game so that I think

[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_00]: that's more of it is a mental thing.

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, even able to put all those spinners at your backside from the last pod because

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_01]: there was a lot of fence in going on.

[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_01]: So I was worried for you well fair.

[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I did have to ask the way to get the spinners out.

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to get the tweezers and pull them.

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Excellent, well, let's get into.

[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Before we start, of course, hopefully you have all heard by now our daily shows are

[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_01]: backs on the days we're not doing major shows.

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Remember we do a major show that's recorded on a Tuesday and Friday, released on Wednesday

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_01]: and Saturday.

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Every other day of the midweek, we release a daily show and joining the release of

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_01]: this one of those and they just rounded up all of the content.

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_01]: The big new thing, the big unknown genz was rush.

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I know the guy is on Friday touched on this a little bit but John, finally enough talking

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_01]: about it after playing in a game with the three of us.

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Didn't give us any credit there one to show, did he?

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_01]: No, I thought of it.

[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I thought of that as well.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_02]: I did, he didn't mention us.

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you think we'll win?

[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_00]: We'll win.

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I can believe that because he's a, you message me a few times about not passing

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_00]: term and there's a reason for that unbelievable.

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_01]: To me, rush is a very jekyll and hide mode.

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_01]: As John said when we were all playing together, I thought it was the most far I've had

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_01]: playing a football game since literally getting on my mate on the sofa and us playing like

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_01]: a game.

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_01]: It was just such a laugh even when people are missing chances and you're getting caught

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_01]: on the count.

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_01]: It just doesn't matter, you don't have that gutted feeling which is pure enjoyment

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_01]: in the game and I think that bit is fantastic.

[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't have the other side when I was like, oh, why am I only 8,000 points away from

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_01]: getting this 84 double pack?

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll just drop him with some randoms because you guys weren't available.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And all my word is it an absolute mess out there of people that are either selfish

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_01]: that are just unfortunately lower skill level or it's just a complete mismatch.

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, shak, is that a first summation of rush and anything you want to add?

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I think you can play this spot on.

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_02]: The best fun is with some friends if you're playing with some friends.

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_02]: It's really good fun but by yourself in the drop-in game, it's really hitting the mess.

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_02]: I really had some really good luck at the start of the game where I had really good players

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_02]: playing with me and everyone was going back and defending and passing and scoring together

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_02]: this thing.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_02]: And something happened and for the past maybe 40 hours, it's just been really frustrating.

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_02]: It's been extremely frustrating to even get those points and lucky and match up with

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_02]: some friends this afternoon and yeah, I got my points done for the back and it was, yeah,

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I had a lot of fun.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a great model with friends.

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Now if I already feel like this mode is teetering on a kind of a precipice because already

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_01]: you're seeing some frustrations from people that are like, you know, because you get

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_01]: to pick players and fill up the objective bonuses and there are people that are very keen

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_01]: to get an angry that people aren't picking players for that to maximize points.

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_01]: And then there are other people like, this is where I'm coming to chill out and have fun

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_01]: like I just want to play with whoever I want to play with.

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you think the EA should go down the route of making rush a bit more structured, a bit

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_01]: more reward-driven or should they almost lead as far away from that as possible, Nathan,

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_01]: just kind of keep it very casual?

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I quite late the rewards.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, everyone plays a game for rewards whether you see you do a done, everybody likes

[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_00]: to get a decent pack at the end of playing it.

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm quite happy for that.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_00]: I would do wish they would change the communication buttons at the bottom so those that

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_00]: have you play that, it is like sorry, unlucky, thanks and nice.

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_00]: There should probably be same pass, pass now, why didn't you pass GG?

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I think that would probably be the best one.

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_00]: But I like it.

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_00]: I quite like the fact it is like at the moment it's 79 rate, it's a European player

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_00]: that you wouldn't normally have.

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a little bit rubbish that it's untradable only because I've got a lot of tradables,

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_00]: not through buying but the players that you'd want to test out in your can.

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_00]: So that does make the rewards bonus points a little bit more challenging because I don't

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_00]: have a lot of untradable.

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_00]: So this with you guys, I was thinking I was using Calma Greger for a lot of who's

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_00]: NAF and doesn't really take any boxes but you've split which the only player that

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_00]: you could use that wasn't running backwards.

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_00]: But I like it.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's got a lot of potential.

[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I just hope they don't neglect it lately.

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_00]: They kind of have done with moments.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I hope they keep driving it forward and it could be really good fun.

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was using Bissec for our games and using my own I can just an absolute monster

[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_01]: at the back.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just someone that just generally likes that.

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean a goalkeeper by trade but you know, I just love playing with a defender and just

[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_01]: doing them off.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to have a talk about that on Friday show as well.

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_01]: NAF, I'm kind of with you.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I do like that there is a bit of reward in there and I think as long as they keep

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_01]: the rewards very much based around just playing matches and trying to take it away from

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_01]: having to get a certain amount of wins and things like that.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Nothing, the game mode will be fresh.

[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I worry if they completely take away the rewards.

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'll be completely casual but I think it'll be dead like Valtor within weeks.

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know, because it's that gap between regular playing and clubs isn't it?

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_02]: It goes ask a question about Rush.

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Would you prefer the way they have it with untreated ones only or would you prefer

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_02]: that you could just buy whoever you want off the market?

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Because if that happened literally within maybe three or four days, everyone will be

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_02]: this is the most meta play you can use in Rush and literally every game you come up

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_02]: will be those four or five players.

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, even the team that you're playing with users, three or four players and it'll

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_02]: just become the same same situation where it's now you get a variety of players in Rush.

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I like the shackles off or just an alternative.

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Can EA fix the player select option to filter out all the players I can't use?

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Because it weighs, and maybe there already is.

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I'm just being completely new.

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_01]: So maybe there's someone shouting at their radio or their monster right now saying,

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_01]: do there's a way can you do that?

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_01]: But right now I go to search a player then click on it and it's a trade or play you can't

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_01]: use it.

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a first-home player.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I've packed that player.

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think they should open it up.

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I can see the point though because John was talking about this on Friday wasn't he like

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I've been already facing loads of whatever it was, hullets and emails.

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_01]: So I see both sides of the coin, but I think so far the general, general view on Rush is great.

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Please, if you ask someone that's picking up the game this Friday when it's released around

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_01]: the world and we've not paid for the ultimate addition, give Rush a go.

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_01]: It is so fun.

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_01]: And I said especially if you can get a couple of mates.

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's a couple of people because remember you get a trial on EA players as well.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_01]: So if you've got mates that haven't played the game for a little while maybe just encourage

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_01]: them to take up the trial and just get a couple of casual mates.

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I've got that I'm trying to desperately take back.

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_01]: You will have fun on this mode.

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I can't sit there with the straight face and say, oh, you'll love ultimate.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_01]: But I can't sit there and say, Rush is a good laugh just to play for an hour or two in

[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_01]: the evening.

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_01]: So Rush, two thumbs up.

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_01]: We go from two thumbs up to two thumbs and I wish I was an octopus so I had more thumbs

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_01]: not the octopus have thumbs.

[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_01]: The menus, gentlemen, have you ever known a FCE, a FIFA release to be so

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_01]: buggy menu-wise from Norge.

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_00]: It's proper laggy isn't it?

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_00]: There's issues with even claiming objectives with going to the store so he keeps crash and

[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_00]: even just, you know, select into a constant consumables.

[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I can't actually pronounce that but yeah, it does seem super laggy and it's strange

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_00]: because the layout in the holes very similar to last year.

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_00]: So it makes it wonder what's gone on to drop it like that.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Luckily for me I've been practicing more gameplay than menus but it's just little things

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_00]: about that.

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't seem a lot can really cause frustration.

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and Shack as well, the differences between the companion app and the console and

[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_01]: the web app are all, you know, like where do I find my SPC stories on the companion app?

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I can't even claim objectives on the companion app right now.

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_01]: It very much feels like, you know, almost like this is the beta stage of it, even though

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_01]: it's sort of a full free release.

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_02]: The only, I'm just holding judgment because the full game releases on Friday.

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I know we've paid more and we pre-order the game but if these things are not fixed

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_02]: by Friday, it's just a complete letdown because okay fair enough you don't want to give

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_02]: people an advantage of this one at a time.

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_02]: All the fact that there's the objectives are catering for you in career mode and pro clubs

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_02]: and things so maybe they can't have it on the companion.

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't really know why they don't have it on the companion app.

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_02]: It's been there forever and a day so yeah.

[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_01]: And the mistakes are already piling up.

[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Again we mentioned Rush, they've already had it where they wanted to launch a mode for high-rated

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_01]: low-paced strikers and what do they do?

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_01]: They released the objectives of the wrong way round.

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_01]: So instead of having max 74 pace, an 84 rated striker is I think they've got it the

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_01]: other way round with 85 pace strikers up to 74 or some other upcoming exact numbers

[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_01]: that's not as strong way round.

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_01]: They had to take the Rush mode down because it didn't work to start with.

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Of course as they mentioned on Friday we had the fact you couldn't buy packs with fee for

[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_01]: points for a while which was absolutely bizarre.

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_01]: And there's been one other mistake which is completely, you know, I've made the mistake here

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_01]: because I forgot what it is.

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, Nate just it's worrying that the mistakes are already creeping into this game.

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, as and how many times have we sat over the last couple of years sort of going on

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_00]: about the lesson mistakes?

[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes we try and give you the benefit of the doubt but with things like their sits

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_00]: just ridiculous to have it so many so early on.

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_00]: If you've got three or four sort of semi late noticeable mistakes already then hopefully it's

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_00]: either an issues and they get them out the way now and then full release comes and it's smooth

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_00]: sailing so I don't believe that'll happen but we can but hope.

[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I remember what the other one was and that was rivals matchmaking was down for a few hours

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_01]: the other night as well.

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_01]: So you couldn't play rivals.

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah great great start for me.

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I think if we had one of those mistake hours of days, you know, that day since accident

[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_01]: thing I think it would be once again pretty much at zero if we were doing a totaliser or you

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_01]: know, little bit little thermometer would already be going up and up.

[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Never mind as we say we're still in pre release so fingers crossed they get their act

[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_01]: together and sorted quickly.

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_01]: That's again some negatives.

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_01]: I think overall though, Gents might experience on this game has been positive.

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Gameplay I'm giving a tentative thumbs up too.

[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Shack, you're overall thought some kind of the main gameplay sort of outside of

[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_01]: your rivals and whatnot.

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Look it's the good thing is it's a different game.

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_02]: It's not the same game as we had last year, at least that's not my experience.

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Some of the things that I'm trying to do are just not working the way they used to last

[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_02]: year which is a good thing.

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a different game.

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a new game so it's feels fresh.

[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_02]: It is a bit slow but yeah, it's just about getting used to it as well.

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I think I'll I'll reserve judgment until I play it for at least a good 10 15 maybe 20 days

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_02]: and see how I feel after that.

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_02]: It's different the gameplays enjoy.

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm quite enjoying the game play.

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm really enjoying the tactical side of things.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_02]: It's very confusing and daunting at first but once I understood what they actually stand for

[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_02]: and the key thing is they actually seem to work the way they've bladed out in the description.

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_02]: It is doing that.

[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll give you an example three.

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I had a striker on fall snide so he was going back and trying to grab the ball from just

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_02]: the midfield or whatever and then I changed the same striker to a portrait.

[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_02]: And he just pulled him out to get the ball and as soon as the let go of him

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_02]: control someone else he went darting back into the forward line.

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_02]: So those are small little tweaks that you can do and it's the same player as well.

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_02]: So it does work and that kind of I mean sure I lost a game but at least I was that

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_02]: but that battery excited me so it's just more the small little wins that we get in the game.

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_02]: It's just yeah I'm enjoying that experience.

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah and I thought you'd been your kind of feeling so far on the whole new FCI Q

[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_01]: the new tactical setup and all the kind of the options in the mind you should

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_01]: you can get into you enjoying having that kind of level of creative freedom or

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_01]: you find it a little bit overwhelming.

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm enjoying it now to begin with I wasn't enjoying it because I basically just did everything

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_00]: to get the players on plus plus in the rules so that meant that had both full backs going

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_00]: really high, had a full play in centre half and a stopper which meant they were also going

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_00]: very high everyone was basically pushing forward but once you kind of get used to it get your

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_00]: head round it it's really good it's really clever I kind of realized within myself that actually

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_00]: plus plus is nice but even if I just have the basic on it it'll still do a better job than

[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_00]: you know the wrong tactics with the wrong player or the right players and the wrong tactics type

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_00]: thing so it's a lot to get your head into I don't think it's straightforward I don't think

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_00]: he made it particularly straightforward from the off but once you take a bit of time to delve

[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_00]: into it I think it's really good and like shacks they do the rules that they're supposed to do

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_00]: where you know it's different with the human behind it control and at mate in my case

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm still very very open but the only thing I want to add to that is the fact that

[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_02]: the first couple of times you probably would have faced the same thing where you build tactics

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_02]: on the app or on the companion app and you have no idea what it's actually doing until you

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_01]: of something that we've been given and had the opportunity to do on the game. It's kind of

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_00]: taken its usual part and hasn't it they've had some of those sort of the mail-stone players

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_00]: come out and they actually look fairly decent for this stage of game and I know everyone's

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_00]: wanting those tops of 86, 87, 88 rated players but they look fairly nice if you can link them

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_00]: and now I'm big fan and I know they've spoken about with Alex Garcia at it today and he comes in
