[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And then suddenly popped up a queue system like when you were trying to buy football

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_00]: ticket or concert ticket.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I was 100 and something in the queue and counted down and then whoops, crashed and

[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_00]: logged in and it's like 473 so yeah, no play for me tonight I guess.

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, basically we have a queue and normally when games or online software brings in a

[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_03]: queue it is to make sure everything doesn't collapse but I think it collapses anyway.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_03]: So at this moment we can't open the game when we're recording this.

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_03]: This isn't really helpful.

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_03]: How has the first week, let's start with that because it sucks.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think yet.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we have to be critical about it.

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_03]: People can't log into the game.

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I said that it's not like EA runs their own servers.

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_03]: They have a provider takes care of that and the company that size is probably hiring Amazon

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_03]: or Azure.

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Those are like the two biggest server providers run and when you agree on the servers and

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_03]: when you set the parks up and when you take the deals there it also has scalability

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_03]: so it auto skills on the demand you need from it.

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_03]: That also takes a little bit of time.

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_03]: So for example, when it even happens when software companies start the cloud software

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_03]: hosted for a whole year like train that the people on it and after a year they go live

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_03]: and the first couple of moments they go live.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Even though everyone knows it's going to be busy, the servers are like I have no idea

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_03]: what's going on here.

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Let me slowly start building up because I haven't had this amount of traffic in the

[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_03]: last couple of months.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the learn and then scale up.

[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_03]: That usually takes about an hour.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Then it's up and running and during the next couple of weeks it will come faster,

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_03]: faster, faster runs up with the new speed.

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_03]: All I said is I have no idea of course which provider EA has with them.

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's not like EA turns the servers up themselves or turns them down themselves either.

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm expecting honestly that within them, well while we are recording it,

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_03]: this will probably fix itself but I'm still I do understand the frustration

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_03]: and it must be extremely frustrating especially during the first problem of the year.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_03]: But I also say like it's not that if EA owns like half a world of servers

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_03]: and just like oh we forgot to turn the button up.

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it's that I don't I'm pretty sure it's not like that.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's put like this.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_03]: So it was just put a little bit of reflection in there.

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I know even in the you've had a bad experience, haven't you?

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_02]: We get into the queue and not getting in.

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like Oasis all over again.

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, there's a couple of games this year that came out that were huge,

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_03]: right, which had exactly the same problems because

[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_03]: at launch, the influx of players were that big.

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Helldive is just one examples where they were like,

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_03]: oh, we have to implement the queue now because we didn't expect this much traffic.

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, gone scale up that big.

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's like we had Apex Legends at launch a couple of years ago going out.

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_03]: It's Division 2 when it came out in 2019.

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_03]: It's exactly the same problem.

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Diablo 3 is an example.

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Chris Diablo 4 is an example we both played where we couldn't get on that capacity.

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And capacity is like very rarely the actual problem

[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_03]: or that they run out of server space.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_03]: It is more that

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_03]: how do you say it, like if that's what the case,

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_03]: they would just opt to servers and then we'll be pretty much done.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_03]: That makes sense.

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll make sure I post a I know it's a complicated matter.
