[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_00]: We sit here less than three weeks away from the launch of FC25.

[00:00:29] [SPEAKER_00]: We'll get into all of our thoughts on FC25 a little bit later on another show.

[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_00]: But, Shack, how are you my friend?

[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Are you looking forward to a stolen down memory lane?

[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Firstly it's so, so good to hear the Delta tones and talking about FIFA.

[00:00:45] [SPEAKER_01]: We've been chatting with it's different here in the actual, it's like the live experience

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_01]: and it's good to listen to that.

[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_01]: I have been enjoying life and enjoying FC24 and yeah, I've been looking forward to

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_00]: yeah, I mean look, we stopped our regular shows, we were doing our regular kind of Tuesday club

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_00]: thing. I went up into about May around team season and then it just kind of like

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_00]: I think something came up and we couldn't do a show and then another show and then

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's safe to say Shack I think.

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_00]: But, I kind of hit my burnout phase when we get to kind of May June where I'm kind of like

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_00]: a bit over this game.

[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And also I struggle because I don't want to podcast for the sake of it and I very much appreciate

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_00]: there are people who love listening and the guys have been still pumping out shows and

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Chris and John were still doing it but for me personally I was finding it hard to get into

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_00]: is talking about another top card or another just a lot of same cards. I kind of think

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_00]: the game comes to stop progressing around that team in the season market, you just kind of need

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_01]: that little bit of a break to get ready for the new one definitely. I think you've spot on there

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_01]: because I think we all felt the exact same thing at the same time where yes we were playing the game

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_01]: but we actually as invested as we were maybe in April not really even now with kind of

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_01]: us to play in the game but I've invested as much as we should be or could be or would be

[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_01]: not really so yeah it's just the way the game is. If you get too much of something you just find

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_01]: you just realise that yeah it's probably a bit too much of it so you don't really enjoy it and

[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_00]: appreciate it as much. Yeah absolutely I mean look I get that little pop up on my apple phone

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_00]: about screen time every week and you can tell when my interest in FIFA or AFC is waiting

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_00]: because my screen time goes down as I'm not really on that companion apple and I think it was

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_00]: a hit a new low in terms of recent months of the day so that's all good but look low to get to

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_00]: us and we're going to sort of close the book on FC 24 we're going to talk about the good

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_00]: the bad and the ugly from it give our team the years and we've also asked our discord for their

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_00]: kind of two bits we're going to start with game play and then we're going to menus although I

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_00]: let's talk about things with the gameplay that either lights or you didn't dislike if I asked

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_00]: you just to say you know in a nutshell what was the good about the gameplay on this game.

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I think just off the band I just want to really put it out there purely on a gameplay perspective

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_01]: this particular game FC 24 is actually quite a fun and enjoyable game and everything's working

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_01]: well the servers are working well and everything is moving the way you expect to do more

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_01]: it's a fun game to play let's start from that starting point and the other part is I think one of

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_01]: the things that we've enjoyed in our discussion is the fact that this year unlike any other year

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: we've had multiple formations that we could actually jump into when users formations and play

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_01]: regardless of the thing even formations people could just go and use the 4321 the whole year around

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_01]: or choose things like you know 43312 or even 532 that we've used occasionally at the 432

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_01]: who need single formation you could literally play and not saying you will actually get the

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_01]: most metal winds or the most amount of winds but it gives you the opportunity to play and I think

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I really was refreshing this year compared to any other year yeah I mean I tend to agree with you

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I played lots of different formations throughout the year I played 43 while I played 44 which

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_00]: I was still playing at the moment 4321 obviously a very metaphor nation it always has been

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I was going to say it always will be but they've taken it out of SC25 so that remains to be

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_00]: seen and the whole tactics are undergoing such a restructuring with FC IQ that Lord knows what

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_00]: will be a matter in the future but I'm going to be sprinkling in our discord feedback

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_00]: throughout the show as rather than just kind of doing it one big thing and I thought I'd

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_00]: bring this up from one of the guys who's got one of my favorite names in this called Mystic

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Smeg and he says overall it's been the worst fee for many years probably not the absolute

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_00]: worst but close I've played most versions the ability to press out any negative consequences

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_00]: killed the game for me I also think it was a worst year for tactical variety some weeks

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_00]: I could face off against 19 opponents and we can leave using 4321 ended up using 532 to combat it

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_00]: The other positives play stars were brilliant female players too hopefully next year the game has

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_00]: more authenticity sounds like they are trying for that with the new tactical system and

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_00]: shak this kind of again we're going to be jumping around all over the place I apologise here but

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_00]: so a lot of people did still find that they were facing that 4321 over and over again

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_00]: and I have to admit both the 4321 I do get into rut in this game where I've seen to face

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_00]: them constantly and I am left to my hair out thinking why can't people really a little bit more

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_01]: original in their tactics they're troubled with the 4321 as I said earlier as a fact they're even

[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_01]: it just is so effective in what it does and it's literally the easiest way you can actually do

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_01]: the things that you potentially wanted to do where it's so balanced in their deck it's really

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_01]: balanced defense it really works in the midfielder of three people in the midfield so

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_01]: some people actually convert one of the midfielders to actually in attacking players so you have four

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_01]: attacking players going forward with two people holding back so it gives you a lot of versatility

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_01]: and if you look at the as the meta evolved towards the end of the year maybe even from the latter

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_01]: half of the year and the final third year let's put it that way a lot of people had the halins and

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_01]: the big, big bulky aerial strike is that would be the one that you cross into so you had all

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_01]: variables you could do tiki taka you can do across at the end of it in fact I had a setup where

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I had people all different kinds of people and I had like a halin because of team of the season

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_01]: halin I had the guy to cross to and I just kept doing that spamming that over and over and over again

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_01]: it's boring but it works and that's why people just keep going back to 4321 I think the other

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_01]: formations are good but they weren't as effective as 4321 only 4321 is effective from the first year

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_01]: and John footballer actually did mention that I think the first one of the few shows he mentioned

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_01]: 4321 is actually really effective and he was absolutely spot on it's actually a bit

[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_00]: really effective while through the year yeah and if you look at the very top levels of the game

[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_00]: of course you do see the pros using that tate they do kind of abuse certain mechanics and stuff

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_00]: but I think the good thing that you and I are both kind of agreed on is that unless you know when

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_00]: not in those hyper hyper competitive games most formations were viable and you could get through a

[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_00]: weekend league with most formations and still get your kind of normal rank this wasn't like I remember playing

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_00]: either if I come out as a few for 21 you basically had to play 4231 or you were going to get exposed

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_00]: and that's not been the way this game and you mentioned as well the different kind of play styles

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_00]: and play styles have been a big thing this year and it's really kind of it's changed the way

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_00]: everybody looks at cars you know we only have a used to look at face stats now play styles

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_00]: and play styles plus are a massive thing especially as we've gone over the year and that's kind

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_00]: of lend itself to one of the other positives I want to spring up the just diversity of teams

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_00]: you know we've been through games in the past where everybody's got like mending for ran

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_00]: everybody's got player x player y everyone's got and bapay this year I felt yeah of course

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_00]: you're always going to get the absolute tip of top players in this game everyone wants to use

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_00]: but very rarely did I run into two different teams that were identical or even had kind of eight

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_00]: of the same players maybe now we're in footier and they know that everyone gets access to those

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_00]: very top players but generally throughout the year I thought the ability to be able to use different

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_00]: players was just one of the very best things Fc 24 brought definitely I think every single player was

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_01]: viable and they are on where you can actually use female players for a long period of time you could just

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_01]: only use female players in your squad and they brought something different in the initial phases

[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_01]: because they were agile and they were nimble and you could use them when the game was a bit

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_01]: turbulent and you know you really couldn't move as much you couldn't attack through the middle I think

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_01]: that the women players were really helpful in getting towards using different kinds of things in

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_01]: the game and then as time progressed and I think people just could do different things and

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_01]: please stop losses are an amazing thing in one way where it really refreshes the way we look at cards

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_01]: but also in one another way it confuses me a little bit because if you have I mentioned

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_01]: this in the discord somewhere that if you have someone with ninety eighty nine passing for example

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_01]: and you had someone with ninety nine passing and the eighty nine passing guy if they a guy

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_01]: of girl had a place out plus card with for passing playstyle their passing was way better so it's

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_01]: really confusing you've got to really mix it in but also opens up a lot of variety with cards which

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_01]: we really enjoy compared to have exactly to say that instead of having the same all cards

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_01]: best best at wins it's not like trump cards anymore these cards have some layers and uniqueness

[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_00]: to them which was really good yeah I want to come back into such on the impacts that female players

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_00]: brought into the game as well but just to pick up on a point you said there with kind of play styles

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_00]: and how that affects cards and stuff I think leaning into one of the negatives was this whole

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_00]: skill based matchmaking scenario that we had this year whereby there just wasn't the mode

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_00]: out there to be able to try out players and really kind of get to grips with okay this

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_00]: but it doesn't look good but maybe there's something I could do with that player or especially

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_00]: with the evolution again another topic we're going to in depth but and it's something that again

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to lay on it too much chat because he have clearly recognised this because they're

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_00]: taking away skill based matchmaking from friendlies and they're bringing back relegation from

[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_00]: rivals so they've clearly recognised it's a problem but it'll be silly to ignore it but let's go

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_00]: to female players then because it's a lot of the feedback we've got from the discord that

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_00]: everyone seems to say it's been one of the best additions to the game I remember we were talking

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_00]: in the build up to this game we were going to be concerned you know would EA do them just is

[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_00]: would they either be too OP would they be underpowered and actually I think from a personal point of

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_00]: view I think they've got the balance just about right I think the only position that female players

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_00]: been unusable all year is goalkeepers and I think that's just a height thing and again there's

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_00]: not very much EA can do about that it's just you know they can't just add five inches on to a player

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_00]: to make them a bit more usable otherwise I think they've been fantastic I think I would just go ahead

[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_01]: and even say the centre back up out from Renard I don't think there's another viable female

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_01]: centre back there was usable all to the arena I'm really bright team of the year so I've got

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_01]: a little bit to that particular card but apart from that yeah I think probably yeah I would say

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Milly Bryant is one and Renard all through the year through her team the year on what she probably

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_01]: had really good cards coming through but other positions absolutely you could use women I think

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_01]: especially in midfield it was amazing I mean having people like Saur Basha at least unique you know

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_01]: these kinds of we talk about all the itbobos and things of the like that we speak about

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_01]: players like Rolfo Saur I will be we'll be we can't so we would remember for rest of the

[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_01]: eternity is because he's had such a huge impact in our game play this year and it's a lovely thing

[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_01]: and I think we've all how many of us actually watched Barcelona play and to see Rolfo being upgraded

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_01]: how many of us watched a lot of these games just to see how these cards do see how these players were

[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_01]: and it's really and also from a personal point of view having the women's world cup being held in Australia

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_01]: and just watching that progression of some of these players that I saw live move across to

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_01]: being on the pitch and for example I saw Saur Saur Basha I at that point in time she was just another

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_01]: left back and now to see her as one I'm using in the game it's just it's it's done a lot for

[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_01]: women football it's really it's really good to see one of the things that I really take my head

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_01]: after a year they've done a splendid job with that yeah absolutely agree and it's it's in

[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_00]: my my love of the women's game watching it and like you say you know I'll probably

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_00]: flicking through channels and like a women's super league game will be on and I have something like

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_00]: oh yeah you know I'll look at the club league's playing in that game all the lionesses and things

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_00]: like that so that's been an absolute massive plus for me so I think you know Qdos to EA for the way

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_00]: they introduced them into the game and kind of didn't listen to some of the big naïses

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_00]: some of which had less than this honest motives in their criticisms but good on them for

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_00]: plowing ahead with this and that's it's and now you almost can't imagine a game mode without them

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_00]: being in so for the addition to female players is one of the big things they brought in

[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_00]: it has a gameplay this year the other thing and again this straddles menus and gameplay with

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_00]: evolutions and shack this was a love hate thing for me all year because on paper and when it

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_00]: but evolutions were amazing for the first time I've been able to use running players and

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_00]: past running players in my team throughout pretty much the whole year I've had a

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_00]: running player in and around my squad but then that also is the negative because they've kind of

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_00]: been around my squad a lot of the times because the evolutions just didn't quite keep up with

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_00]: the power curve there was only the very few I think one of the people among the ones people

[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_00]: remember is things like patch legacy and things like that but more often than not a kind of gate

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_00]: kept the best players behind these evolutions and again I don't want to select them off too much

[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_00]: because they recognise this and it's changing for FC 25 but overall what did you make of

[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_01]: evolutions this year? I think as a concept it's far surpassed what I expected it to be it's

[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_01]: probably way better than I thought it was going to be and I delivered a lot more than we expected

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_01]: that's the positive negative it was exactly what you said it was there but it wasn't really

[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_01]: there and people like you would probably the most disadvantaged because you really couldn't get

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_01]: your running past and present team fully there you really couldn't and people like me even

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_01]: more disadvantaged because if I wanted to create like a man in our squad it's impossible because on

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_01]: day one if there's a release and there's a man in our player that can potentially meet the evo

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_01]: they would be extinct like man who was extinct from day one for a long time and just

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_01]: those kind of small little things really hurt me because even there were times where I wanted to do

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_01]: a lot of sanitary for example I remember this vividly as the day I stopped using the evils because

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I tried to snipe it for a thing a good week and I just couldn't and the day I snapped him

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_01]: the only reason I snapped him I could snipe him was the fact that the evil had expired so

[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_01]: these kind of things really put me off because you don't really it just was too complicated

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_01]: you release an evo you can't get the cards you want even if you do find some card in your club

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_01]: they're off by a couple of stats here and there and that just really is frustrating and even for

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_01]: example currently we have this evolution that takes any player to 99 rated and it's really annoying

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_01]: because I had a lot of money not a player in my squad in my club that I could use like a hollin for

[00:15:59] [SPEAKER_01]: example he's never going to be as good as any of the strike that we have in our club but as

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_01]: as a homage to a club that I support I couldn't use a single player for my squad for my club so

[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I had to use a random player and make him into 99 those are the things I'm hoping that they're

[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_01]: improved next year but evil as a concept yes they've done really well yeah now bringing

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_00]: in John talking foot feedback is why he says things he didn't like this year the matters

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_00]: which change constantly evo is too restrictive fans of smaller clubs you didn't like qualification

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_00]: for champs he just thinks people should be allowed to play it he also thinks three balls and tackle

[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_00]: spamming was bad and then things he liked not much to be honest and only doing yeah Fc25 due

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_00]: to the community well look I'm glad that you like us John and we absolutely love you having his

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_00]: barbar community but it's become on that there's two things I'm not trying to be contrary

[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_01]: and I don't want to we love you it's just one two things I just really want to pick up on number one

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_01]: the evolution of the matters one things I really want to say that it's probably a positive because

[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_01]: we've had this constant change it hasn't been the same old same old like finesse wasn't like

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_01]: OP it was OP in the start but it wasn't OP for a while and there was other things that you

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_01]: have to just die it was annoying yes because you do expensive SBCs and they would not be as

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_01]: good as they should have been I could have been I would have been but it just threw some freshness

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_01]: in it and then you suddenly have this aerial plus and then sorry before that you had to rebel as

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_01]: it's kind of progress so just keep you keep you kept you engaged about trying to learn different

[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_01]: things and aerial plus towards the end would become this complete absolute matter so it was

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_01]: engaging in a way I know it's not ideal especially when you do a sauna SBC or a sauna SBC and

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_01]: then on as good as it should be but it was still engaging in the sense that things were evolving

[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_01]: the only a matter I didn't really get on with the Trevella because I really couldn't do Trevella's

[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_01]: way outside the box but dressed in them matters I really was fun getting to explore it especially

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I think the aerial plus meta was fun it was so different I would never use it the other thing

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_01]: you degree with me as well when we as much as people hate qualifying you and me have spoken

[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_01]: about this numerous times that that is the probably the only game mode where we can just relax and play

[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_00]: yeah it's the only real mode with four-makes matchmaking where the wider pool of players

[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_00]: pretty much anybody gets into it and again that's I mean absolutely no disrespect to people

[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_00]: that do struggle to qualify for champs if you put me in a college duty lobby I'll be terrible

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_00]: and I'll be in the absolute you know worst division possible it's but I still enjoy it

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_00]: for what it is they look quality means absolutely nothing but yeah from a point of view as a

[00:18:41] [SPEAKER_00]: person let's put in the time and gets to elite yeah I love to play off stuff playoffs because it

[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_00]: allows me to relax it's that pace I can do evo's and things like that but look hopefully

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_00]: friendly is next year without skill waste matchmaking they're open that up as well so be a bit more

[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_00]: but again thanks to the feedback John and again would just be sprinkling these in

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_00]: was like oh you've already got a playstyle plus you can't evo that player so it was kind of like

[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_00]: just extra annoying but I think it goes back to what we talked about earlier the very fact

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_00]: that they did change the meta throughout the Ecape things fresh you didn't just see everybody

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_00]: having holidays in from holiday and seller in from day one you know the players changed one minute

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_00]: okay a tall player was great the next minute it was a more nimble player than it was a finesse plus

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_00]: player so I think that was all really good and yeah very much looking forward to seeing how evolutions

[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_01]: four or three games a day to play to reach a milestone in the cup so it's just I think it

[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_01]: just was very grindy but I think at the end of the year towards the latter half of the year

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_01]: they've just literally made it like unlimited gameplay for cups and that would really just

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_01]: let you breathe and do it as your own pace and if you wanted to leave it to the end when all

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_01]: the sweats had been had finished it was an opportunity for you to get in late and get it done

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_01]: so I think that's I'm really hoping at the start of next year cups are unlimited from

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_01]: day to hour rather than having two games a day or three games a day or whatever the nonsense

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_01]: are worth. I mean, growing by I can't swap so you could just do 50 games a day if you have the time

[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_00]: game modes and experiences that EA basically just like left to rot on the sidelines is that moments as

[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_00]: and it's just kind of like the amount of things that they pick up and just drop is really

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_00]: disheartening things like silver lounges well we waited the silver lounges need to go especially

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_00]: the evolution this year it would have been an even better place to have your and I know we had

[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_00]: you know again just a bizarre silver week in June was it? June July sun the euro of

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_00]: all being silver players for the sake of one week like any and even the silver players would get

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_01]: 900 as stats and 90 plus or at a stats but the overall would be 74 and it's just stupid things

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_00]: I've had with the carpet like a Puto compensation even as we're a plus but hope EA will

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_00]: people are making in their feedback on this game they're changing they're changing evos they're

[00:25:57] [SPEAKER_00]: changing skill based matchmaking and the press as well is one of the things that is changing now

[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_00]: how that will impact the game is very interesting because I know John the foot coaching is saying

[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_00]: that actually this could be a bad thing because what you're going to see is a lot slower build up

[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_00]: there's going to be a lot less space out there and your cp will just sit back in 4 to 3 1

[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_00]: and you'll get low scoring games whether that transpires we need to wait and see but yeah I absolutely

[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_00]: get the people that didn't like the kind of OP pressing style and the seemingly lack of

[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_00]: there was no incentive not to do it there was no kind of downside to doing it this year so

[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_00]: that again what kind of stands out for me this year in terms of the menus and on off the pitch stuff

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_01]: the fact that the amount of content we had this year was plenty for like it was consistently

[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_01]: that it was really good but it was new there was a lot of new things and pro modes every week

[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_01]: consistently every single week we had pro modes we had new cards in fact we had like a 15 million

[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_01]: coin whole it in week two or week three we had a massively expensive KDB SPC on with and pre release so

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_01]: there was a lot of content going down our way which I mean it's weird that others are

[00:27:41] [SPEAKER_01]: community are complaining about this because you if you rewind four or five years ago we will

[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_01]: be crying for content on a daily daily on a day to day basis and now we're getting it

[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_01]: that just feels too much it feels too much because you can't really enjoy what you have

[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_01]: because every single time you get something there's something better and you get something better

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_01]: and there's something even better and it doesn't you don't get to enjoy the things that you have

[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_01]: thing as well is the promos that you mind mentioned the promos that we've liked other promos

[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_01]: are we actually believe that the back way was slightly higher than usual yes yeah I think it's a weird

[00:28:58] [SPEAKER_01]: thing like these are the promos that we've liked there was a huge of other promos but we could

[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_01]: the point of having all these fancy guys as no one's able to pack yeah it was weird I said there

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I remember just as we came out of team of the season I think we had or just before team of the season

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_00]: what was it we had roads to the final yeah and and or teams teams the tournament whatever it was

[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_00]: and the cards just didn't seem to ever appear and there were lots of other promos like that

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_00]: where the pack weight was down really low and I think why we engage more with likes of

[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_00]: galazone thunder struck is because you feel part of that promo because you're seeing those cards

[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_00]: as opposed to sitting there frustrated and even when you watch pack opening content another

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_00]: other streamers and things like that it's annoying when you're sitting there streaming

[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_00]: not seeing that the flares and things pop up so I'm thinking a need to kind of address the situation

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_00]: promo but even when you pack in the bottom five or six cards I mean at least makes it that little

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_01]: cards like the Saudi league being split across multiple weeks just in it didn't work and it

[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_01]: worked no way away because it was nice to have a CR7 random EPA with another set of other cards

[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_01]: but also it didn't work in the sense that you really couldn't look forward to okay Saudi league

[00:31:04] [SPEAKER_01]: means I'll explain maximum CR7 everyone's going to be in packs so we could potentially hope

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_01]: to pack something good that way so it was just I think team of the season real basis every year

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_01]: we all get excited about team of the season and then it gets stretched out for six, eight weeks

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_00]: when an evo came out and people who were selling for max price were suddenly getting flagged because

[00:41:27] [SPEAKER_00]: of course he is algorithm that bronze cards shouldn't be going for 10,000 coins you must be

[00:41:31] [SPEAKER_00]: coin buying and selling your band same with other just random gold cards and stuff that

[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_00]: spiked up throughout the year so and again he didn't really address it and yeah some of the

[00:41:40] [SPEAKER_00]: big influences were able to get their bands as soon as a lot of people just had to lump it

[00:41:44] [SPEAKER_00]: and like you say shack it's very disheartening when you're in that position and there is no real

[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_00]: help it's just kind of like me you know pretty can't prove otherwise that you weren't coin selling

[00:44:45] [SPEAKER_00]: became that everybody quite easily just drop 40 pounds 30 pounds like that and not just once

[00:44:53] [SPEAKER_00]: it was just a big thing for black Friday it was every week almost every day yeah and that I think

[00:45:00] [SPEAKER_01]: one of one of our common rats in another podcast was talking about the fact that next year they

[00:45:04] [SPEAKER_01]: were planning to collect up some coins and a team of the year instead of trying buy a particular

[00:45:12] [SPEAKER_01]: player whatever use those coins to open packs and that's I completely understand the logical

[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_01]: side of that argument but also I just feel sad that we've actually succumbed to those kind of

[00:45:23] [SPEAKER_01]: things where we're actually spending our coins which is a complete known or to open packs and that's

[00:45:28] [SPEAKER_01]: probably the most viable route and I just I really dislike this whole attitude of us opening packs

[00:45:34] [SPEAKER_01]: and just expecting to get things from the packs that he throws and I think I really will find

[00:45:41] [SPEAKER_01]: what fun and hard to actually put this into words but I think if you give me an option of having

[00:45:47] [SPEAKER_01]: gazillions of packs or a few select packs that are actually good I will choose a few select packs

[00:46:43] [SPEAKER_00]: was from the gigantic store packs and I can absolutely understand if EA offers you a short cut

[00:46:50] [SPEAKER_00]: to these top players by going to the store but that wasn't the case because people were grinding

[00:46:56] [SPEAKER_00]: me knew everybody was grinding so hard on team of the years these player picks he's upgrade

[00:47:01] [SPEAKER_00]: gameplay packs everything and yet the best way is I won't you've got 30 quit on the game you'll get one

[00:47:07] [SPEAKER_00]: so I said I don't mind packs being a short cut but when you are gatekeeping the other content

[00:47:14] [SPEAKER_00]: out of people that aren't spending packs because I'm investing my time if I invest my time that should

[00:47:19] [SPEAKER_00]: count you know at least some way towards the money but of course shareholders don't care that

[00:47:24] [SPEAKER_00]: be spent 20 hours doing upgrade picks they do care that that's a shack for example as God has

[00:47:30] [SPEAKER_00]: spent 60 pounds on pack so again it's a it's a it's got if spending 60 pounds care and tease me

[00:47:38] [SPEAKER_01]: team of the year I probably won't hold it against him if it guarantees me just not to be the best

[00:48:12] [SPEAKER_01]: when you and you and me we had these spreadsheets and these people that had these spreadsheets

[00:48:16] [SPEAKER_01]: and you will have opening up six seven thousand worth pounds worth of FIFA points worth of

[00:48:21] [SPEAKER_01]: which resulted in bugger all that's just not right yeah it's not right exactly there needs to be

[00:48:28] [SPEAKER_00]: that way of get you know EA when we had the whole icon selling gate you know they put at that

[00:48:34] [SPEAKER_00]: statement saying well all items are obtainable in the game you know and it's a lot of them weren't

[00:48:39] [SPEAKER_00]: unless you spent the money or got incredibly lucky so it's a it's a balancing act because again

[00:48:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I think if you ended up putting a guaranteed team of the year in the store for 50 pounds whatever it is

[00:48:51] [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's that could I would feel worse through a community of that because I know there are

[00:48:56] [SPEAKER_00]: lots of people out there that would feel almost pressured to do that to keep up and I think

[00:49:01] [SPEAKER_00]: that's a good point to bring up and kind of blends into menu and gameplay this year is the

[00:49:06] [SPEAKER_00]: the last thing I think from this year was you didn't need those top players to keep up you really

[00:49:11] [SPEAKER_00]: didn't unless you were competing at the very tipy top end and the prosine you just didn't need

[00:49:17] [SPEAKER_00]: those players there were enough good SPCs and good players and evolutions and things like that

[00:49:23] [SPEAKER_00]: where you could just you could keep up and I think again the my message for everyone going in

[00:49:28] [SPEAKER_00]: so S.E.25 is if you have the disposable income any one a little bit of a boost I'm gonna

[00:49:33] [SPEAKER_00]: hold my hands up I will probably do it I'll probably I'm a nearly 40-year-old man with certain

[00:49:38] [SPEAKER_00]: disposable incomes I can spend and that's how I choose to spend my money but please if you are

[00:49:44] [SPEAKER_00]: sitting there somewhere and you're like struggling to even you know buy the game please don't

[00:49:48] [SPEAKER_00]: feel that you have to go out there and buy taxes to keep up because you know and as for it's a

[00:49:54] [SPEAKER_00]: show and you will get every good player eventually it might not mean to the sum up but you will get

[00:49:58] [SPEAKER_01]: a chance to use some really good players at some stage one way of stage to see I really want to

[00:50:03] [SPEAKER_01]: call out that I think majority I'm no this some sort of people that did with majority of community

[00:50:08] [SPEAKER_01]: had six players in their squad that I can name them out there was six players in everyone's

[00:50:14] [SPEAKER_01]: squad that was to player the month in Bapay other the first 92 or the 93 rated mostly the 92 rated

[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_01]: anything else because you had top tier cards that came to our SPCs that the accessable to everyone

[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_01]: and nothing else was being packed because the packs were crap so yeah that was a weird stage

[00:50:52] [SPEAKER_00]: of the game cycle that I hope we don't get into but it seems to be more often because we have the

[00:50:58] [SPEAKER_00]: same in the last year as well remember around the world cup and things are that way you just had

[00:51:01] [SPEAKER_00]: weird sort of three month-ish phase of everybody you know we talked about the variety of teams but

[00:51:07] [SPEAKER_00]: like you said I think there was a certain amount of really great SPCs that they released winter

[00:51:11] [SPEAKER_00]: wild cards whole it is another one you guys have a lot of teams as well and it just seemed that

[00:51:16] [SPEAKER_00]: there was that core not necessarily because that they were the the most meta players available

[00:51:22] [SPEAKER_00]: but they were just so accessible to everybody that you just defaulted to them because again

[00:51:26] [SPEAKER_00]: that you said the pack white underneath the answer so rubbish that you just weren't getting the

[00:51:30] [SPEAKER_00]: tweak around those spaces but I think that leads nicely into kind of also what some of the players

[00:51:36] [SPEAKER_00]: in our own sort of teams of the year players that stood out for us over the year

[00:52:14] [SPEAKER_00]: and he was great and there was an SPC around that time of literally king. There are not a lot of

[00:52:18] [SPEAKER_00]: people who did the triple threat hero card but I found this be brilliant and really enjoyed in the

[00:52:23] [SPEAKER_00]: frame pongs footies card just unbelievable Chloe Kelly my favourite winner all year again that

[00:52:33] [SPEAKER_00]: whipped past had seemed the season card I've now evoed throughout footies is just again brilliant

[00:52:38] [SPEAKER_00]: sure many foot birthday a very expensive SPC but and I could have put any sure many card in his shack

[00:52:44] [SPEAKER_00]: because I remember I think he got lucky there was a radio active evo you could even

[00:52:49] [SPEAKER_00]: go his 80 is 84 is base card yep it is and that I think it had some like 78 pace on it but you

[00:52:57] [SPEAKER_00]: would never have known he was everywhere and it's just one of those cards a bit like Renato Sanchez

[00:53:02] [SPEAKER_00]: in previous year's where throughout the stats just amazing. Gisung parts galatzo card love Gisung

[00:53:09] [SPEAKER_00]: part and I've got a space with my two favourite evo players femia z's and Garus McLeary one

[00:53:15] [SPEAKER_00]: both have now sadly form a redding players but they were the two that throughout the year I

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_00]: just about managed to keep up with the curve so that I could use them for little spells at

[00:53:25] [SPEAKER_00]: time where they could at least come off my bench so enjoyed both those um crouch galatzo is my

[00:53:31] [SPEAKER_00]: striker mostly for the evolution that Poem Ux95 because there was a good throughout the back

[00:53:36] [SPEAKER_00]: end of team of the season or my words is man good and the last one might shock our listeners

[00:53:44] [SPEAKER_00]: because if you remember Shaq one of the biggest pieces this year was in a deansodan and what

[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_00]: for me as as a full 9 as a 10 enough in a 4 2 4 and my word is most authentic zidane experience

[00:54:52] [SPEAKER_01]: talking about is the one that I have as well as a high high and it's a fabulous card it's a brilliant

[00:54:57] [SPEAKER_01]: card it's not anything like the zidansodan that we've had in the SDS and so that's why I think

[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_01]: from the SBC onwards every single zidane has been pretty good so we pull the hands up and say

[00:55:11] [SPEAKER_01]: it's medium medium zidane bad medium highs it on good let's try and focus on that for next year

[00:55:18] [SPEAKER_01]: some my squad right so I will start off with my goalkeeper I know I've used Michael for a long time

[00:55:23] [SPEAKER_01]: this year but that man couldn't save a penalty to save his life even the music card but he was so annoying

[01:05:34] [SPEAKER_00]: pros we don't know whether superb tuned game throughout the year I'm afraid Fc 25 will start out

[01:05:46] [SPEAKER_00]: start in the exact opposite direction no press will make the 4231 be the default formation for many

[01:05:51] [SPEAKER_00]: and will make for low scoring games because getting the ball will be harder. This leads people

[01:05:55] [SPEAKER_00]: finding the best ways to optimize their chances my bet is without goalkeeping movement that'll

[01:05:59] [SPEAKER_00]: be finesse shots and after a month or so that will get tuned and the press will get better etc.

[01:15:43] [SPEAKER_01]: bought a full one point eight sold a full roughly around that price literally two hours later three hours later
