[00:00:03] Hello, foodies, and welcome back to FUT IN REVIEW. Normally, I start talking about content, promotions, and so much more, but this week I'll start with my own story about football, the game we all love so much. Football Unites brings people together, and it's the world's biggest distraction from life, or some would say it is life.
[00:00:26] This week, us Feyenoord fans trembled before going to Portugal, where Benfica was waiting for us. I couldn't see the match myself, but I was wearing the kit proudly that day, although chances was I would be able to wear it a little bit less proudly the day after that.
[00:00:44] After the same Benfica team wiped the floor with the big Atletico Madrid just weeks prior to that, with a stunning 4-0 victory.
[00:00:52] So, during that day, I thought, well, you never know, right? The game comes closer. How awesome would it be if we just get one point? That would be pretty cool.
[00:01:01] So, I brought the kids to bed telling them they couldn't watch the match today since it's way too late. It started at 9pm for us.
[00:01:08] And it's a school day, so they couldn't stay up. And I told them, well, if we're lucky we get a point, but this isn't the match you really want to see anyways, and next week we play Ajax, who knows?
[00:01:17] So, both my daughters, both Feyenoord fans, wearing Feyenoord jerseys, asked me why, if the result was already clear, why would I even watch the match?
[00:01:26] That is actually a good point. So, I wrapped up the food and review shorts that Wednesday evening and sat down to watch the match two minutes before kickoff.
[00:01:35] Meanwhile, my phone was flooded with people wishing me sarcastically good luck with some smileys you know that aren't actually smiling.
[00:01:43] You know that feeling if you are supporting a smaller club. You know when you play Weekend League and you see that Mbappe and R9 on top in your first match of the weekend?
[00:01:51] Now, you know you got a Feyenoord Jans and this was exactly the same feeling.
[00:01:57] So, 45 minutes later, 0-2 for Feyenoord and a weirdly undeserved disallowed goal later.
[00:02:04] I got messages from the same people.
[00:02:06] Wow, you guys are playing amazing. What happened? What did you do?
[00:02:09] And it's the fact that Benfica actually couldn't ratequitch this match, but in the end at the match, me, I also had a full stadium of Benfica friends, which is not what just happened.
[00:02:19] Like, one three, but could easily be like one five. But these guys were so much better. How could this happen?
[00:02:25] So, the morning after, or actually same day because I didn't even sleep, both my kids wore Feyenoord jerseys to school.
[00:02:33] And, you know, Chris knows we're actually not in Feyenoord territory here, but parents telling them they got a cool shirt.
[00:02:40] One of the teachers taking a photo with Ben because, well, they also secretly supported Feyenoord and even the workers that came to work at the Food and Review Studio,
[00:02:49] which is also the reason we didn't get a short yesterday. They talked about it, even though they also don't really support Feyenoord themselves.
[00:02:56] Football unites. Football makes happy. And the key the Feyenoord captain mentioned, hard work, keep training and above all, be confident and don't compare yourself to others on paper.
[00:03:08] I thought, where did we actually hear that before? Well, after this Wednesday, I just keep telling people that in food, sure, players do matter.
[00:03:16] But in the end, it is you in control. It is you you've got to be confident in. And honestly, you're just playing one player on the other side.
[00:03:25] No matter the shiny cards, the size of the food club or the book clock, it's still 11 versus 11 and it's still one player versus another player.
[00:03:34] Don't lose confidence comparing uncomparable things. Believe in yourself and work as hard as you can.
[00:03:40] And who knows? Maven, even your opponent sees that confidence and ends up saying good game.
[00:03:46] Just like the players from MFICA did to the Rotterdam boys and just like the other parents told my kids.
[00:03:53] Football unites, but it does definitely help when you're in scorching form.
[00:03:58] Well, welcome back to that ultra long kickoff from which, well, maybe I'm sorry if we did happen to lose a lot of listeners again.
[00:04:05] Let me know in the comments and I'll cut straight to the chase next time.
[00:04:08] We will talk about scorching hot form. Thrillblazes has arrived.
[00:04:13] We will also talk about EA striking the band hammer and your thoughts on what's considered cheating in our weekend food, which is also based on FOMO or actually lack of.
[00:04:24] Anyways, my name is John. So you know who to DM when things go south today.
[00:04:28] And I'm sorry to announce that Yngwie has fallen ill. So speedy recovery to you, my friend.
[00:04:33] But I'm not alone. I'm joined by the Joker of Venombo.
[00:04:36] The master of that jokes, a.k.a. the food in review teddy bear.
[00:04:41] It's Chris. Hey, Chris.
[00:04:43] Hi, John. What a wonderful intro that was.
[00:04:45] You'll see that I'm wearing my white and red hat and of you guys winning a great result, actually, an amazing result to go there and win.
[00:04:54] What a stunning performance that was.
[00:04:57] And actually, I'm smiling as well after Rangers getting beat against the mighty Kilmarnock on Sunday.
[00:05:01] We turned over FSB or FCBSB, what they're called.
[00:05:05] Still a book of rest for us old guys, really.
[00:05:07] We won 4-0.
[00:05:09] So yeah, on the up.
[00:05:10] This is going to be a positive show, actually.
[00:05:12] Actually enjoying my FC journey as we speak.
[00:05:15] Yeah, because not everyone else does.
[00:05:17] And I, of course, I like I love football and this was being an amazing week for like the clubs as support.
[00:05:24] But that wasn't actually the case why I wrote that intro.
[00:05:26] I think if you start with a mindset, you're going to lose.
[00:05:29] If you start with a mindset, you're not going to enjoy this or you start with a mindset.
[00:05:32] This weekend is going to be extra sweaty.
[00:05:33] It's probably going to be that just done.
[00:05:36] And then you see those guys from finer to 22 year old Tim or 19 year old Malumbo getting the man of the match in the Champions League away jewel.
[00:05:43] Three goals out of three Champions League match on your 19th birthday.
[00:05:47] And then you say, like, what's the key here?
[00:05:49] He says, I thank God and I'll now luckily I'm confident enough in myself.
[00:05:53] Like, yeah, I think that's the point in anything you do, including FIFA this week or FC.
[00:06:00] No, definitely, John.
[00:06:01] You have to be confident.
[00:06:02] As you say, who knows what team you're facing.
[00:06:04] It's just one man or woman against each other.
[00:06:08] You know, they might not be such a great player.
[00:06:10] They may have been lucky and packed that in Bappe, but you have to be confident in your way and believe in the process.
[00:06:14] We always say that, don't we, at foot coaching? Believe in the process.
[00:06:17] Definitely.
[00:06:18] And it's also easier when you look at the team that came out today.
[00:06:21] If you don't pack any, if still nothing is actually lost, eh?
[00:06:24] No, not at all.
[00:06:25] I mean, there's some good cards in there.
[00:06:27] There is some good cards in there.
[00:06:28] I think we may have spotted a cheat piece, but we will get the coach's opinion on that person.
[00:06:33] We'll talk about that shortly.
[00:06:35] Again, last bit of housekeeping.
[00:06:37] I'm sorry for missing the Thursday evening foot and review shorts.
[00:06:40] Of course, if you look to the video show, you see a new painted, well, studio floor and ceiling all repaired and felt.
[00:06:48] We had a little bit of a leak in the office, which we tried to fix around recordings, but yesterday everything was broken up.
[00:06:58] So, and I could actually see the stars from here.
[00:07:00] So there wasn't an option to do much, but it's all fixed now.
[00:07:03] We're all good to go again.
[00:07:07] Chris, I want to start like we do every week.
[00:07:09] I want to talk about this week in foot.
[00:07:16] This week in Football Ultimate Team.
[00:07:20] Chris, what has been your highlight or your biggest disappointment from this week that you want to share?
[00:07:26] I didn't play much over the weekend for me, but I saw the new patch really kicked in for me on Monday and I'm actually enjoying the game.
[00:07:34] I'm enjoying rivals.
[00:07:35] It seems to be not as stuffy as it has been.
[00:07:40] Maybe it's because I'm still stuck in Division 5.
[00:07:43] Sorry, sorry, sorry.
[00:07:45] You said you say that once more?
[00:07:48] What's that?
[00:07:49] Which one is it you want to say that one?
[00:07:50] You enjoyed the game?
[00:07:51] Yes, I enjoyed the game.
[00:07:52] I know we're going to lose some listeners now because I am the person who's always on your side.
[00:07:55] We will not give up the fight for Weekend League guys.
[00:07:58] No, we won't.
[00:07:59] Weekend League qualifying is the scourge of this game.
[00:08:01] It is the worst part of this game, but actually the gameplay itself is fairly decent.
[00:08:06] We won't go for hours and talk about Weekend League, but in a few weeks time I think we'll need to revisit that
[00:08:11] because I think that is a problem in terms of longevity.
[00:08:14] But at the moment, enjoying the game, I just wish EA could fix Rush because it's a great mode.
[00:08:20] It's great fun.
[00:08:21] They've done everything right.
[00:08:22] They've put assists in there.
[00:08:23] They've put goals in there.
[00:08:24] But when the people just disappear and the players on the sidelines and it's three against four, it spoils the game for everybody.
[00:08:31] We're going to talk about cheaters later on, but you guys who go in, you pick the right player, you get the boost, and you don't even bother playing.
[00:08:39] You are the absolute scourge of this game.
[00:08:41] I nearly swore there.
[00:08:42] I'm glad I didn't.
[00:08:43] No, there were a lot of comments this week also on socials.
[00:08:46] Why do people actually quit on the start of matches?
[00:08:51] There's a lot of people saying, oh, I'm just going to do my homework.
[00:08:53] I'm just going to start a game, continue my homework, and I'll see when it ends and then pick up the points and go again.
[00:09:00] And after I'm done with my homework, I'll probably have the points for that week.
[00:09:04] And I was like, yeah, it sucks.
[00:09:08] You ruin everything else for the other players.
[00:09:11] But it is hyper efficient if we talk about grinding out a game, right?
[00:09:15] It is, but you have to, I know it's difficult.
[00:09:18] Dan talks about code built on code, built on code, built on code, but you have to do something.
[00:09:24] If there's a continual repeat of an input for over 10 seconds, that person needs kicked from the game.
[00:09:30] That's what they need to implement because it just spoils the game.
[00:09:33] You know, you play 4v3.
[00:09:35] Yeah, you win.
[00:09:36] You score a lot of goals back to when you get a good game 4 versus 4.
[00:09:39] It's a really fun mode.
[00:09:41] I understand that people go in there and sometimes they just are so greedy or some people just are not good at the game.
[00:09:45] That's just the luck of the job.
[00:09:46] At least they're trying.
[00:09:47] But those guys who you can see their player moonwalking on the sidelines, it really annoys me that.
[00:09:52] Yeah.
[00:09:53] So here's my weekend food, Chris.
[00:09:56] We had an office that needed to be repaired.
[00:09:59] We had a, well, final Champions League match in between.
[00:10:03] And to be fair, it is quite hefty making daily content.
[00:10:07] So I didn't have much time and I knew that in advance this week, it's just going to be swamped.
[00:10:12] So it was Tuesday night, zero rifle matches played, mate.
[00:10:16] And I had two options, grind on night and Wednesday a little bit.
[00:10:21] I'm in div two now.
[00:10:23] Yeah, div two.
[00:10:24] And I know it's not 15 games, 15 wins, right?
[00:10:27] There's a lot of draws unfortunately.
[00:10:29] So do I go for 45, go for 15?
[00:10:32] And I decided, you know what?
[00:10:35] Rewards have been awful so far.
[00:10:39] I got much more good picks from SPCs, honestly.
[00:10:43] And I said, I'm not going to stress out over this.
[00:10:47] And I decided not to focus on the results, not just build a formation.
[00:10:52] I started a 4-2-3-1.
[00:10:54] I finished a 3-5-2 this week.
[00:10:56] Like let's do a 4-2-3-1.
[00:10:58] Let's just start playing that and we'll see how far we get.
[00:11:00] I have put my schedule, I put in two hours.
[00:11:03] Just let's go on a Wednesday evening in the end.
[00:11:09] I got, I think, seven wins out of eight matches.
[00:11:12] And I was like, hey, if I want, I could now push and go for it.
[00:11:15] I'm like, no, no, no.
[00:11:17] Actually, I got a pretty good feeling with what I've done.
[00:11:21] I was on the cusp of going to div one, which was like, you know what?
[00:11:26] Maybe not tonight.
[00:11:27] Get in there, go to bed, stress maybe.
[00:11:30] Maybe if I don't make it, it's fine.
[00:11:32] I still have 15, which was more than I initially thought.
[00:11:35] And I just let it be.
[00:11:37] Did you know what I got in my rewards though on Thursday?
[00:11:41] No, John.
[00:11:42] Still absolutely nothing.
[00:11:44] So it doesn't matter.
[00:11:48] No, I think we always say, don't let the FOMO get to,
[00:11:53] don't compare yourself to anyone else.
[00:11:55] If I think dude, I do think if you need to force those wins for yourself
[00:12:00] to feel that you have to get them to be able to catch up.
[00:12:03] For example, I think you put so much extra pressure on yourself that it's going to be even harder.
[00:12:09] And I played without pressure and actually went pretty decent.
[00:12:14] So that was my highlight actually.
[00:12:16] I played some good football.
[00:12:17] It sort of clicked.
[00:12:20] The one thing I would say is that Petit is absolutely amazing.
[00:12:26] If I do a player in review, which I could, by the way,
[00:12:28] well, we're now at it, Chris, before we jump into content.
[00:12:31] And Chris or Daniel said, it's a bit weird hearing my own voice,
[00:12:36] but luckily I have to propose.
[00:12:37] Player in review.
[00:12:39] So I want to talk about Lauren Blanc for just a sec.
[00:12:42] He can play left back and center defensive midfielder, I think.
[00:12:45] I don't even have him in front of me, but what a card Chris.
[00:12:49] What a card.
[00:12:50] Can't get him off the ball.
[00:12:52] He takes every player from the ball.
[00:12:54] French, of course, perfect links as well.
[00:12:56] I'm so lucky I got him for my pack, right?
[00:12:59] Or my player, my icon pack one week or two weeks ago, I think.
[00:13:04] But what an amazing player.
[00:13:05] Totally worth the value as well.
[00:13:07] If you have an option, if you want to look for CDM, he's so good.
[00:13:11] And also CDM with that kind of passing, he can actually pass.
[00:13:15] Truly amazing.
[00:13:16] I just wanted to put it.
[00:13:18] And of course, it's a 500K card or something.
[00:13:19] I don't even know how much he would now, but the best 500K card I've used this year.
[00:13:27] Oh, he actually went up a lot.
[00:13:29] He's 830 now.
[00:13:30] Wow.
[00:13:31] After I packed two weeks ago.
[00:13:33] But it's an amazing card, honestly.
[00:13:36] He can also play center midfielder.
[00:13:38] So he's good.
[00:13:39] And he has holding plus plus on the CDM.
[00:13:41] He's got wing back plus on the left back and he's got box to box on CM.
[00:13:46] So pretty versatile as well.
[00:13:48] No, that sounds really good.
[00:13:49] I must admit, John, I'm not trying to spoil your story, but I did pack a tradeable Wesley Snyder
[00:13:54] in a preview pack.
[00:13:56] In a preview pack?
[00:13:58] In a preview pack.
[00:13:59] Oh, oh, oh.
[00:14:01] So that's maybe why I'm enjoying the game because I managed to sell him and make some decent coins.
[00:14:06] And I bought Kai Havertz, who I'm testing at the moment.
[00:14:09] The Champions League won Arsenal in absolutely stunning form.
[00:14:13] And maybe next Friday I can tell you a little bit more about him.
[00:14:16] I keep being tempted to sell him, but he seems to be a good player.
[00:14:20] I like that big, tall, skinny player.
[00:14:23] That makes, I think, a big difference in this game.
[00:14:25] That's probably why you like me as well.
[00:14:27] Exactly.
[00:14:28] Yeah.
[00:14:31] Well, the first word sort of made sense in that sentence.
[00:14:33] Hey, Chris.
[00:14:35] I said two weeks ago when we had the Rush promo, this is basically trail breakers.
[00:14:40] Well, it wasn't because we got trail breakers today.
[00:14:43] Exactly.
[00:14:43] And trail breakers shows the players that stand out so far in the season.
[00:14:49] And they adjusted the player rules.
[00:14:51] And if I'm not mistaken, they also adjusted play styles to how they performed or how they played.
[00:14:58] Mm-hmm.
[00:14:59] It sounds interesting enough, but is it into any interest?
[00:15:02] Take us away.
[00:15:03] I think there's some really nice cards here, John.
[00:15:05] I mean, we have a Bellingham card for free before MD gets excited.
[00:15:10] That's his brother.
[00:15:11] No, it's not Jude.
[00:15:12] It's Joe Bellingham, who plays for the mighty Black Cats, Sunderland.
[00:15:17] And it's a great card again, John.
[00:15:19] I don't know if you can bring it up.
[00:15:20] I mean, it's an objective card.
[00:15:21] I think it's fairly easy to do.
[00:15:24] You can easily do it in squad battles.
[00:15:26] The thing I like about him the most, like his brother, he is 6'3", tall and lean.
[00:15:35] So again, like the Kai Havertz card, like the Patrick Vieira card, like the Socrates card,
[00:15:41] these guys seem to fit the game pretty well.
[00:15:44] He's box-to-box.
[00:15:46] His stats are...
[00:15:47] Box-to-box, plus-plus, eh, you know?
[00:15:49] Exactly.
[00:15:50] We need to find a word for plus-plus.
[00:15:52] Double-plus, maybe.
[00:15:53] Anyway, the stats look fairly decent, I'll be honest with you.
[00:15:57] There's nothing really too bad.
[00:15:59] He's passing, maybe he's crossing a little bit down.
[00:16:03] Shooting's decent shot power at 76, John.
[00:16:05] You might look to boost that.
[00:16:07] Good acceleration, good sprint speed.
[00:16:10] Good agility as well.
[00:16:12] Fairly physical.
[00:16:14] Great stamina.
[00:16:15] Anything that you see in that card that you'd think, hmm, I wouldn't do it?
[00:16:19] I know you're not a great objectives man.
[00:16:23] I'm not a great objectives man, that's definitely true.
[00:16:27] But honestly, he does look very good.
[00:16:29] It's hard to link EFLs though, so that's a bit hard, right?
[00:16:34] Before like, also EA, the design team is again saving everything for them,
[00:16:39] because what a design on these cards.
[00:16:41] Yeah.
[00:16:42] Love it.
[00:16:43] But, yeah, no, the roles are perfect for him.
[00:16:47] I think he has relentless as well.
[00:16:49] Yeah, relentless plus on play styles.
[00:16:51] If you give this guy an anchor, he sort of feels like the perfect center midfielder.
[00:16:57] Just wish we could link him with someone, but the rest of it looks...
[00:17:00] There may be a special chemistry if you link him with his brother.
[00:17:02] Two Bellinghams in midfield.
[00:17:04] Yeah, like everyone has that card.
[00:17:07] Well, I have the card to be honest with you.
[00:17:08] Yeah, of course you have.
[00:17:10] It's quite cheap at the moment.
[00:17:11] It actually has come down and cost me a few coins.
[00:17:13] It's a really good card to use.
[00:17:15] Just to talk about the tasks you need to do.
[00:17:17] Assist five goals with through balls in squad battles, which is fairly easy to do.
[00:17:22] Score 10 goals from a player from the EFL Championship.
[00:17:27] Play 10 matches with four players from the EFL Championships.
[00:17:30] These can be done in squad battles semi-pro.
[00:17:34] And last but not least, win six matches with having four players from the EFL.
[00:17:39] So if you do it in squad battles...
[00:17:40] Then squad battles, how you doing?
[00:17:42] Exactly.
[00:17:42] It's done.
[00:17:43] You can tie them in with a lot of other cards that are out at the moment.
[00:17:45] So if you can tie them in with somebody else, it's worth doing.
[00:17:49] I think it's difficult to hit a leap these days.
[00:17:51] I don't know if EA has fixed that.
[00:17:53] There's not.
[00:17:53] So I wouldn't worry about getting any rewards in squad battles for that one.
[00:17:57] This card here though, I think at this stage of the game is pretty decent.
[00:18:02] No, I think it's actually a great card.
[00:18:04] But then again, I might be repeating myself here, but it's like the 12th or 13th great midfielder
[00:18:12] we got for almost nothing.
[00:18:13] Mm-hmm.
[00:18:15] Like from Garcia day one until Bellingham now, five weeks in or six weeks in now, we keep getting
[00:18:22] really cheap or even free sentiment fielders every single week, either from objectives or good SBCs.
[00:18:30] We had two round.
[00:18:31] Well, I can name a few, but it's going to be hard to decide.
[00:18:35] Well, like even Garcia.
[00:18:37] I don't even use of course a back.
[00:18:39] That's the reason why I don't use them.
[00:18:40] But there's so many sentiment fielders.
[00:18:43] And also there's so many non-informal cards that are actually getting very cheap, like Kevin
[00:18:47] De Bruyne of Fernandes.
[00:18:48] Now you said Bellingham, which I still saw is 150,000 currently.
[00:18:53] So there's not a lot of, there's not too little, there are so many, sorry, as my English is
[00:19:02] gone, there are so many good midfielders in this game currently obtainable for everyone.
[00:19:09] Yeah, definitely.
[00:19:10] But I think this card, well worth doing.
[00:19:13] If you're going to play the game this week, you know, just do it.
[00:19:15] But you may find that this card here also, you never know any evolutions in the near future.
[00:19:21] They get them fixed.
[00:19:22] That card could easily be upgraded.
[00:19:24] I mean, it's only 85 rated at the moment.
[00:19:26] You know, that card could be up there in England.
[00:19:29] English, I know the championships are hard weren't linked, but actually that English card,
[00:19:33] really good to get a lot of good players there from that point of view.
[00:19:36] So no, I think it's coming from you.
[00:19:38] That's actually pretty cool.
[00:19:40] Scotsman saying about England, yes, but I do have an English wife.
[00:19:42] I've got to say that otherwise she will hear this podcast and give me a lot of trouble as well.
[00:19:45] So no, I think this card and the fact is to rock the two Bellingham's in your team in the midfield,
[00:19:52] I think is pretty cool.
[00:19:54] Yeah, I agree.
[00:19:58] But then again, John, so we've also got an SBC, Rafinha.
[00:20:03] I really would love to get your take on this.
[00:20:05] This card is coming in at 552,000 coins.
[00:20:10] There's nine challenges to complete, but I would really like to get your opinion on it.
[00:20:15] I'm looking at it thinking this looks like it's a wonder card, but let's get the coach's opinion of that when he pulls it up.
[00:20:21] Yes, I'm getting it on screen for if you're watching the YouTube version or of course the Spotify version.
[00:20:27] And I've seen some comments, by the way, people say, hey, you say Spotify, but Spotify is audio.
[00:20:32] Nope, Spotify is also video if you just open the app and look at your screen.
[00:20:36] If there's a video at actual podcast or even a clip these days, you can see it.
[00:20:40] So we also upload the video content to YouTube or to Spotify.
[00:20:44] I got it on my screen, of course, Rafael Diaz Beloli or Rafinha for friends.
[00:20:52] Yes.
[00:20:52] 520,000, 552,000.
[00:20:57] He is four star, four star Chris.
[00:21:00] He's got inside forward plus plus and well, some other cool things when he at least for his left midfielder, left winger, right winger and right midfielder options.
[00:21:10] He's got the Tiki Taka play styles, which you don't see very often on a O winger or outside player.
[00:21:16] He's got Trickster.
[00:21:17] I'm a little bit let down by the fact he doesn't have technical on this card, but having a Tiki Taka is pretty cool.
[00:21:25] But Chris, although everything in this card looks good.
[00:21:29] I would never recommend doing an SBC 500,000 for a winger that has Tiki Taka and not something special on shooting.
[00:21:38] My quick thoughts, first thoughts on it.
[00:21:42] It's a lot of money.
[00:21:44] So you don't think he's crossing being fairly strong and 84.
[00:21:50] You know, the sprint speed at this stage of the game.
[00:21:54] Yeah, sure.
[00:21:55] I mean, but then again, he's not five star, five star either, right?
[00:22:01] Is it a bad card?
[00:22:02] No.
[00:22:04] But it reminds me very much of the Adama card.
[00:22:07] Okay.
[00:22:08] Fast.
[00:22:10] But this one actually has a little bit more better passing, I think, but fast, but 82 finishing, 83 composure, 82 balance.
[00:22:21] I am a little like, is he good?
[00:22:27] Sure.
[00:22:27] I guess so.
[00:22:29] Is he outstanding for me?
[00:22:32] With a Tiki Taka on a right mid?
[00:22:34] I don't necessarily feel like it's worth the money.
[00:22:41] Or am I being too critical here?
[00:22:45] I just wanted to get your opinion, John.
[00:22:46] I just wanted to show you that if I look at the footpin, pluses and minuses, right?
[00:22:51] Mm-hmm.
[00:22:53] 1682 thumbs up.
[00:22:55] 1682.
[00:22:57] 1614 thumbs down.
[00:23:00] But the fact he's got the wide playmaker plus plus.
[00:23:03] So he's got a double star there.
[00:23:05] He's got the inside forward plus.
[00:23:06] Inside forward plus.
[00:23:07] So the inside forward.
[00:23:08] So you think he's shooting stops from being a great inside forward then?
[00:23:13] No.
[00:23:13] So he is great inside forward that can't shoot that well.
[00:23:16] That's what I'm saying.
[00:23:17] Is that the problem, I think, from your point of view?
[00:23:19] So if the, say if the wide playmaker was plus plus, would you be more interested?
[00:23:25] I know you're not a great crosser, John.
[00:23:26] We've talked about that.
[00:23:28] You're not a person that likes to get down, you know, and whip the ball over.
[00:23:31] But I just, you know, looking at that card, all the face starts there looks pretty decent.
[00:23:36] No, I'm not saying it's a bad card, Chris.
[00:23:40] But if I have to be critical, it's a lot of money for a card you say you want to cross with, but on the inside forward, you don't really cross with.
[00:23:47] Mm-hmm.
[00:23:47] He comes in and takes a shot.
[00:23:49] He can't come in and take a shot with 82 finishing and 83 composure.
[00:23:52] He's very fast and I get you want to go to the outside and maybe cross, but then that ticky-tocker, what do you use it for?
[00:23:58] Right?
[00:23:59] He's not being pressured on those wings.
[00:24:01] Yes.
[00:24:02] And then you see as long pass 78 short pass 82.
[00:24:07] Eh, I'm not that like even if you look at the play styles he's got on his, it's not that he's got the whip pass or something like that here.
[00:24:17] So, maybe I'm completely wrong here, but I think he's not poured that amount of effort.
[00:24:22] If you put a marksman on him, John, what do you think if you put a marksman on him for the inside forward then?
[00:24:26] Because I mean, that does, that will boost his shooting considerably.
[00:24:29] If you've got, if you're running a league team as well.
[00:24:31] Yes, but still won't, like his composure is still weak for a fairly weak, right?
[00:24:35] Mm-hmm.
[00:24:37] Yeah.
[00:24:39] But like Chris, we've got an 85 rated, um, sentiment fielder, Bellingham, that is pretty all round and free.
[00:24:47] Yeah.
[00:24:48] Or you spend 500 and something going in a time where it's hard to get good for on a card that doesn't exactly look amazing.
[00:24:58] If he would be, for example, if it would be five star, five star, if he would get the whip cross and the white playmaker plus plus, for example.
[00:25:05] Or if he would get higher shooting or, uh, he's got a financial, but give him a free power shot plus plus, for example.
[00:25:14] Then you have something that fits the role.
[00:25:18] He feels like could have been nice to have.
[00:25:22] Of course he's fast.
[00:25:23] Don't get me wrong.
[00:25:24] Uh, but he's also not five star weak foot or five star skill ones either.
[00:25:29] So, no, I'd say for me, um, I wouldn't, I wouldn't be, I'm not too excited, but.
[00:25:38] Okay.
[00:25:38] Okay.
[00:25:39] That's a wee bit disappointing.
[00:25:40] It's not in SBCs, mate.
[00:25:41] It's a lot.
[00:25:42] It is a lot.
[00:25:43] It is a lot.
[00:25:44] That's why I wanted to just get the price.
[00:25:45] I thought, you know, half a million coins, um, you know, and the thing is, the reason I'm asking this, John, is I think a lot of us are starting to find our SBC storage starting to get filled up.
[00:25:54] Um, as well.
[00:25:55] And, uh, we're looking for something to sink.
[00:25:58] Me too.
[00:25:58] But there's only 83 rated cards are down for me.
[00:26:02] I have a few in there that is thing.
[00:26:03] And yeah.
[00:26:04] So what we'll do then, John, we'll move swiftly on to the main team.
[00:26:07] So there is a quite a decent team that's come out.
[00:26:09] Um, you know, top of the shop is, uh, Mr. Harland.
[00:26:13] I don't know if people saw his amazing goal through the week there.
[00:26:17] He seems to make a habit of just scoring these wonderful goals.
[00:26:20] Um, but when you look at it, you know, 3 million coins is at the moment.
[00:26:26] Um, info, you know, when I look at them for though, again, three star week foot.
[00:26:31] That just seems for an ace goal scorer seems a bit stingy from EA.
[00:26:38] Um, I think it's what he does, right?
[00:26:41] He has only one foot basically most of the time.
[00:26:45] Um, and it's not unfair, I think to give him that.
[00:26:49] Um, I use his non-inform which I just put on screen as well.
[00:26:53] He's in my main team.
[00:26:54] Yes.
[00:26:55] But I only shoot with his left foot because it is definitely something you need
[00:26:59] to take into consideration.
[00:27:00] Um, but the biggest difference between all these, these two cards is the ninth,
[00:27:06] the non-inform has a acrobatic plus on it.
[00:27:09] Right.
[00:27:10] Mm-hmm.
[00:27:12] Um, yeah.
[00:27:15] Uh, and the new one I think has a rapid plus plus on it.
[00:27:20] Yes.
[00:27:21] Uh huh.
[00:27:24] Yes.
[00:27:26] Uh, might fit them a little bit better, but 3 million is a lot of money.
[00:27:31] It's literally 3 million different.
[00:27:33] Mm-hmm.
[00:27:35] I would mind backing him because I do like the 91 rated, but I can almost say I would
[00:27:42] never pay 3 million for a 3 star striker, which I might actually like the acrobatic more
[00:27:48] on, if I'm honest.
[00:27:50] Okay.
[00:27:51] So the other big, the other big.
[00:27:53] We need to find a player I like mate, cause.
[00:27:55] Yeah, I'm doing my best here.
[00:27:56] There is other big beast is Bon Mati, of course a favorite for everybody.
[00:28:01] Barcelona female player.
[00:28:03] Yes.
[00:28:04] Looking more expensive 3.4 million.
[00:28:06] She has a plus plus as a playmaker.
[00:28:09] She can also play a box to box playmaker as a cam and a shadow striker as well.
[00:28:17] She has five star weak foot, which is important for a person like me, four star skills and her
[00:28:24] play style plus as finesse shot plus.
[00:28:27] Is that still a powerful weapon, John?
[00:28:30] Yes.
[00:28:31] Yes.
[00:28:32] It still is.
[00:28:34] No, I think financials, Trevella's were mostly hit last week.
[00:28:38] Still very good though, especially in green time and half time.
[00:28:41] I don't think it's, it's gone that much worse, honestly.
[00:28:46] But Mati, though, Chris.
[00:28:48] Mm-hmm.
[00:28:48] I think she is worth the coins.
[00:28:51] What, 3 million?
[00:28:53] Yes.
[00:28:53] 3.4 million actually, I think, is at the moment.
[00:28:55] Yeah.
[00:28:56] Mm-hmm.
[00:28:56] I think there are much better midfielders than her.
[00:29:00] Like, period, in this game.
[00:29:02] So, as we always say about the female players, she's five foot four.
[00:29:06] She's really, she is small for a female player to start with.
[00:29:09] And if you look at her strength as well, John.
[00:29:12] Yeah.
[00:29:12] But like, agree.
[00:29:15] 100% agree, right?
[00:29:16] Yeah.
[00:29:17] I was going to just ask though, as from a, you know, as a coach point of view and a coach
[00:29:21] tip, would you play her as a shadow striker or as a cam?
[00:29:26] Because box to box, I think she may struggle.
[00:29:29] Yeah.
[00:29:30] So, on a cam position, she's playmaker and shadow striker, right?
[00:29:34] I think you can, you can honestly play both, but not as a center, like you can't really
[00:29:38] defend with her.
[00:29:41] So, you use her, you literally use her as a box to box or sorry, as a playmaker.
[00:29:46] Give her the ball, let's dribble around.
[00:29:48] Honestly, right?
[00:29:49] 92 ball control, 93 dribbling, 94 agility, 87 balance, 92 reaction.
[00:29:54] It's insane stats.
[00:29:57] Speed isn't there, so she won't make those runs and get away with it.
[00:30:00] But she still has 90 long shots, Chris, with the Fines plus, like you said.
[00:30:04] And 92 finishing without any boost.
[00:30:09] Which will make her lead as lethal as a shadow striker.
[00:30:13] But I think this card works best as a center midfielder because of the fact you don't really
[00:30:18] want any physical contact.
[00:30:19] You don't want players to have the space to move into her.
[00:30:23] That makes sense?
[00:30:24] Yes.
[00:30:24] You want her to come from midfield, get the ball laid back and then take a shot, for example,
[00:30:28] and distribute those passes with these amazing passing stats with 92 short pass, 91 finishing,
[00:30:35] uh, vision and 91 long pass.
[00:30:39] That's pretty nuts.
[00:30:41] So you want her to get the ball, walk around, pass the ball around.
[00:30:44] And then once you're in a goal or it's just blocked, you want to trigger a run from her,
[00:30:50] gathering towards the box and take a finish shot.
[00:30:53] And I think, yeah, a brilliant, absolutely love it.
[00:31:00] Good, good.
[00:31:01] We've found one now.
[00:31:01] I'm going to find another one.
[00:31:02] This is a cheap beast, this one, John.
[00:31:04] This is a cheap beast.
[00:31:06] It's Barbara Bandus.
[00:31:07] There she is on your screen next to Ellen Harland.
[00:31:10] She is at the moment 57,500 or 54 on your screen.
[00:31:17] Looking at those stats, she looks something special, if you ask me.
[00:31:23] Um, false nine plus plus.
[00:31:25] Don't see that too often.
[00:31:28] Uh, and here comes my exact problem, which I do have often with using Harland.
[00:31:33] You play Harland, you call Harland towards you.
[00:31:37] You give him a ball.
[00:31:38] He can't do anything.
[00:31:40] Right?
[00:31:40] He's a poacher by default.
[00:31:43] You want him to go for a run and finish a ball.
[00:31:45] That's Harland.
[00:31:46] Even with his big body, you can't give him the ball and shield anyone or hold the ball for a sec.
[00:31:53] Banda could do that role for you.
[00:31:57] You can with a false nine plus plus and with 90 strength, Chris.
[00:32:02] Yes.
[00:32:02] 90 strength.
[00:32:03] You can give her the ball, hold the play up for a second, and then continue from there.
[00:32:09] With 93 acceleration, 96 sprint speed, she is pretty amazing.
[00:32:14] This isn't the card you want to finish with.
[00:32:19] This is the card you feed your second striker with.
[00:32:23] Or you could hold up your build up play.
[00:32:25] You use her as a false nine.
[00:32:27] And I think this is where people sort of, this is very generalizing.
[00:32:32] I didn't mean it that way, but sort of get these rules a little bit wrong.
[00:32:36] She's a false nine plus plus.
[00:32:37] If you play a four for two, for example, she's coming back to get the ball in.
[00:32:42] Lay the ball either back or turn around and go for a pass, right?
[00:32:45] Mm-hmm.
[00:32:46] Her passing isn't like terrific, but she can hold up play for everyone else overlapping.
[00:32:50] If you have her attacking wing backs, she's your girl, but she's not finishing with 82 composure.
[00:32:56] She's not finishing those one-on-one chances.
[00:33:00] She's not taking any crosses.
[00:33:01] She is to hold up play, get the players around you to move up.
[00:33:05] And if you use her in that role, I think she'd be amazing.
[00:33:09] But this is also the reason why she's very cheap currently.
[00:33:11] And I think she drops even more over the next week or so.
[00:33:15] Because people see a striker and want to use her as a striker.
[00:33:17] And she is not a striker that finishes chances.
[00:33:21] Maybe a niche role?
[00:33:23] Mm-hmm.
[00:33:23] What a very fun niche role, I think.
[00:33:25] I mean, I know she's not, you know, I wouldn't say a strong league.
[00:33:29] That's a wee bit unfair, but she is the female USA league.
[00:33:34] But I'm just thinking if people have done Morgan, that's quite a decent card to do.
[00:33:39] You know, the Morgan card, the end of the year card.
[00:33:42] So you have those two together.
[00:33:43] Quite a potent partnership that would be.
[00:33:47] And not overly expensive either.
[00:33:49] So it's a card that I think people will kind of miss out on.
[00:33:53] And the fact that she's very pacey as well.
[00:33:57] She looks like she could do a lot of damage.
[00:34:00] Yeah.
[00:34:02] And then lay the ball off and maybe not take a shot herself.
[00:34:05] But still, finishing 88 isn't bad, right?
[00:34:07] Just putting it out there.
[00:34:08] I just think 82 Composers start to notice that a little bit.
[00:34:12] So I'll let you choose the final player we'll look at, John.
[00:34:15] And we'll move the show on.
[00:34:16] You either can choose Lorente or Stanway.
[00:34:19] What one would you like to talk about?
[00:34:23] Well, first, of course, shout out to Pulisic.
[00:34:26] Getting that card in there.
[00:34:28] I think that's a cool card.
[00:34:30] Also, we got a lot of USA listeners.
[00:34:32] So just go USA, go Pulisic.
[00:34:37] Stanway or Lorente, right?
[00:34:40] I think I can do...
[00:34:41] I want to focus on Stanway, but just about Lorente.
[00:34:44] He's always good.
[00:34:46] He's 83 right card.
[00:34:47] Still a very good, very underrated card, I think, in the current game.
[00:34:53] He's right back, right center midfielder, right midfielder, right wing.
[00:34:57] You can play him basically anywhere.
[00:34:59] Yeah, I love that card.
[00:35:01] I think as a center midfielder, Kulit Kang easily, right?
[00:35:05] So definitely worth it.
[00:35:06] But I want to focus on Stanway because I think that's...
[00:35:08] Again, this is the second special card, I think.
[00:35:11] It's going to be informed a couple of weeks ago.
[00:35:12] Yes.
[00:35:14] Um...
[00:35:14] 157,000 as we are recording this.
[00:35:17] Center defensive midfielder with some interesting roles, namely the deep lying playmaker plus plus.
[00:35:24] So we get in the stage, Chris, I think, where we see different plus plus roles.
[00:35:30] And we look at niche cards, if that makes sense.
[00:35:34] Most CDMs are used holding.
[00:35:36] So they would say, hey, holding plus plus, that's amazing.
[00:35:39] Deep lying playmaker is actually a pretty cool card if you look at how strong she is.
[00:35:45] She's not that CDM that holds the ball or the fence.
[00:35:48] She is the CDM that can intercept the ball.
[00:35:51] But basically, it's the CDM that comes, pick up the ball, turn around and starts building a play.
[00:35:56] And if you then look at, okay, she's got 93 short passing.
[00:36:00] Still a four-star weak foot as a center defensive midfielder.
[00:36:04] 87 long passing, 87 vision, 88 reaction, 89 ball control, 91 dribbling and 87 agility.
[00:36:12] Oh, very tempting for me, Chris.
[00:36:16] Gather the ball.
[00:36:17] That one player that picks up the ball between the lines when people start pressing, she just comes in.
[00:36:22] You give her the ball, they turn around, you skip the line.
[00:36:25] Yeah, I think she wouldn't mind using her in my team except I don't.
[00:36:31] I currently use a set of work in a 4-3-1 that requires two holding CDMs.
[00:36:37] But I think in a 4-1-2-1-2 narrow, what a card.
[00:36:46] You put a powerhouse on her, John, the stats go through the roof for the defendant to be fair.
[00:36:52] And also the passing max.
[00:36:53] And she's got ping pass plus as well.
[00:36:56] Yeah, yeah.
[00:36:57] So, max for passing.
[00:37:00] And I don't necessarily think she needs much more defensive options because she's not that strong that can properly hold off big players that come running through.
[00:37:10] She needs to intercept the ball but her interceptions are so good.
[00:37:13] That's fine, right?
[00:37:14] If I would boost anything, like you said, I would maybe look at dribbling and passing.
[00:37:20] So, I would go maybe for an artist even.
[00:37:23] But, oh, like artist gives her 99 agility, 92 reactions, 99 dribbling with 95 vision and 99 long passing.
[00:37:34] I mean, is it fair to say that she is Kante gang then if she gets that?
[00:37:40] Because she's got that special, you know, Kante originally in the game always had that ability to pick the ball up and he had that agility.
[00:37:48] You know, he wasn't the best football player in the world but speed across the ground was amazing.
[00:37:53] And you look at her agility, would that then make her feel almost Kante-like?
[00:37:58] I don't necessarily think so because I always feel that Kante is indeed somewhat shorter player but a very strong player with really capable of defensive actions.
[00:38:08] This is more play, he gives the ball, he comes to pick up the ball, he turns around and she maybe goes looking for a false knight to play the ball towards.
[00:38:16] Like really build up for you.
[00:38:18] You see those plays these days where center defenders send the back forwards and one center defense midfielder or one midfielder comes running back to collect turnaround.
[00:38:27] And then build up.
[00:38:28] That's her, I think more.
[00:38:31] And again, I think those players are more viable this year but we've not seen them use so much still.
[00:38:37] Could she be then this middle center back and a five at the back?
[00:38:42] You know, that one that steps out?
[00:38:44] Yeah, except you can't play her there of course with the rules.
[00:38:47] So I wouldn't do that necessarily.
[00:38:49] But if you play a three, five, two for example, you can use her as one CDM that sort of builds up the role and you put this into defensive midfield or center midfield center back as step up.
[00:39:03] That could definitely work.
[00:39:04] Like a stopper player for example.
[00:39:08] Yeah, interesting card though.
[00:39:10] A little bit too expensive for me currently to just try her.
[00:39:15] But maybe she halves in price and I would probably use her.
[00:39:19] But yeah, definitely got it.
[00:39:20] I like these niche players, Chris.
[00:39:23] No, there's some interesting cards there.
[00:39:25] Definitely a hundred percent.
[00:39:27] Definitely.
[00:39:30] Enough about those cards though, Chris.
[00:39:32] Did we get other SBCs or objectives you want to mention or did we get everything?
[00:39:35] I think we've pretty much got everything.
[00:39:37] There is those standard ones at the moment.
[00:39:39] There doesn't seem to be much challenges out at the moment as well.
[00:39:43] I'm having a quick look on the app to see if there's anything that I have missed.
[00:39:47] Well, Evos are still broken.
[00:39:49] Unfortunately, Evos are still broken.
[00:39:50] Rush is good fun.
[00:39:52] I mean, I think they've been pretty fair with Rush.
[00:39:54] Rush has been pretty good fun.
[00:39:55] There's no new objectives there at the moment.
[00:39:57] There's a lot of objectives for people who are looking to boost their season points.
[00:40:01] So if you're pushing to get that Adama, you know, I was miles away last week,
[00:40:06] hardly played last weekend.
[00:40:08] And I'm actually now only 700 points away from getting Adama.
[00:40:12] And that looks a real good fun card as well.
[00:40:14] So, you know, have a look guys.
[00:40:16] There's the bi-weekly objective.
[00:40:18] There's weekly objectives.
[00:40:20] There's loads of stuff out there.
[00:40:21] So if you feel it in miles away, just have a quick look and try and do it as quick as possible.
[00:40:26] Talking about doing things as quick as possible, Chris.
[00:40:29] Have you ever used an ad on that helps you build SBCs or anything like that?
[00:40:35] John, you know how hard it is for me to actually log on to the studio.
[00:40:39] So it's impossible for me to do anything like that.
[00:40:44] I'm making a bridge here to one of the topics.
[00:40:47] So this week I wanted to make a special show, which we still do, will do shortly.
[00:40:53] But I wanted to do a special show about cheating in FC 25.
[00:40:57] That is, of course, I also will be a very different show than this one.
[00:41:02] Because if you said it already, if you look at the leaderboards currently for squad battles,
[00:41:07] those are filled with players that have absurd numbers.
[00:41:10] And these are all cheaters.
[00:41:12] I was going to mention it.
[00:41:12] There's no way you can get 3000 something points a match every single time.
[00:41:17] Then you look at the pro clubs, like they call clubs these days, of course.
[00:41:23] The clubs best players or high-performing players.
[00:41:26] You've got players that haven't played a match and scored 400 goals.
[00:41:29] That's interesting, right?
[00:41:31] So, hmm, again, cheating.
[00:41:36] I've said it before.
[00:41:37] We've got sniping bots, of course.
[00:41:39] It's always been an issue.
[00:41:42] But there are also applications add-ons that make the game more enjoyable.
[00:41:49] And I won't mention it because I don't want anyone to get in trouble after the show.
[00:41:54] But there's plenty of tools that say, you know what?
[00:41:57] We're going to help you get your club.
[00:41:59] I mean, sometimes even EA's companion app doesn't show all the players.
[00:42:03] But we have an app or we have an add-on to your browser that helps select players for certain SBCs.
[00:42:09] Make it the cheapest from your club available.
[00:42:11] So they don't necessarily do something bad.
[00:42:13] They help the player.
[00:42:16] Or you see the price from players currently once you've over a cart where normally you have to put up an app or website and check it out yourself and take a gamble there, right?
[00:42:25] Sometimes.
[00:42:26] So not all add-ons are made for cheating.
[00:42:29] Just put it out there.
[00:42:30] But it is definitely against team of service, which we all accept once we don't start the game.
[00:42:36] But we all accept that we don't use any of them.
[00:42:40] Right?
[00:42:41] Mm-hmm.
[00:42:41] 100%.
[00:42:42] This morning, woke up, flooded mailbox, flooded DMs, people getting banned, Chris.
[00:42:49] They got banned because of using a third-party app in or like a third-party site logging in.
[00:42:59] When I say banned, I have to rephrase that a little bit because I've been asking, let me see what happened.
[00:43:04] What did you get?
[00:43:05] How does it look?
[00:43:06] What did the message say you got?
[00:43:07] They aren't banned.
[00:43:08] They are currently not allowed to use the companion app for a certain amount of time.
[00:43:17] It doesn't say how long, but it only concerns the companion app.
[00:43:22] And I think also the web app, but it says companion app on most of these messages have got sent.
[00:43:27] Basically meaning you've used an app to do something in the game and therefore you can't use our app currently anymore.
[00:43:36] Which if you've asked me personally, I think, oh, we knew that was a risk.
[00:43:41] Mm-hmm .
[00:43:42] It should say, by the way, when you download these things that it's against service, but I checked some of the websites.
[00:43:46] It's actually says that EA does not approve it.
[00:43:49] So on most sites as well.
[00:43:51] So we know what you're getting into.
[00:43:53] You don't get banned from the game.
[00:43:55] You get banned from not using the app.
[00:43:58] I think it's pretty fair.
[00:43:59] And I've been asking around why EA suddenly is going at that.
[00:44:04] And that is to start stopping cheaters.
[00:44:07] That's the intention at least.
[00:44:08] Because if you stop allowing apps or add-ons, you make it easier to, well, you make it easier not even to be able to cheat at all.
[00:44:18] I think the whole PC problem is a separate problem, which we'll do the show about, I think.
[00:44:24] But Chris, do you consider using a third party app for your own convenience, not for selling or sniping or hacking, whatever.
[00:44:32] But for your own convenience, if you would have an app that says, okay, this is the price on the player or they make my easiest solutions.
[00:44:39] Do you consider that a bad thing?
[00:44:41] No, I don't, John.
[00:44:43] I don't.
[00:44:44] I think it's unfair.
[00:44:45] I think the amount of cheating that's going on elsewhere in the game, you know, you have to look at Twitter to see the actual pros or not.
[00:44:52] I'll refrain from that.
[00:44:53] I won't say pros.
[00:44:54] You actually see on X, as it's called now, people selling their service for weekend league performances.
[00:45:01] For me, that's bigger cheating.
[00:45:04] And that's an easy one to catch because if someone like myself who used to be a 9 or 11 win suddenly went 20-0 one weekend, that's easy to spot that.
[00:45:14] You just need to write a small algorithm to say, find these people and ban them.
[00:45:19] You know what I mean?
[00:45:20] That's the important thing.
[00:45:21] That's the real cheating.
[00:45:22] If you use an app to help you put some SPCs together, I don't think that's cheating whatsoever.
[00:45:27] I think it's low hanging fruit for EA.
[00:45:30] I think they need to go after the actual proper cheats in this game.
[00:45:33] Yeah.
[00:45:34] So I think that's, I don't disagree with the fact that that's the bigger problem.
[00:45:39] Let's put it square there.
[00:45:42] But when you talk about rules, when you talk about setting a precedent, when you talk about following up on rules, there's no, if you have the rules,
[00:45:51] it's properly set up, there is no gray area.
[00:45:54] If we all sign, you can't use a third party app for anything in the game, then you can't do it.
[00:46:00] It also says in the same teams of services.
[00:46:02] And I've been through intensely today, Chris.
[00:46:05] It also says you're not allowed to share your account with someone and someone else is not allowed to use your account to sign in and play your games.
[00:46:13] So that thing you said is also considered cheating and it's also against terms of services.
[00:46:18] And I also know that there are players being banned for that, although it is a little bit harder to catch because of VPNs, etc.
[00:46:26] These days it's, and if you had to have a good weekend, is that necessarily the worst?
[00:46:31] I think it's easier to see if someone who goes 40 and 0 over their 11 wins last week, then between 12 and 15 or 11 and 15 these days.
[00:46:41] So I think that's a little bit harder, but I do agree.
[00:46:43] They got to go after them as well.
[00:46:45] Um, cause that's also not allowed.
[00:46:48] No.
[00:46:49] And the thing I find worse is always the coin selling.
[00:46:52] Even, I think that's even a bigger thing because those will get accounts hacked.
[00:46:57] Those will get accounts stolen from people that don't, aren't as invested and then just file for these traps just to sell a couple of coins.
[00:47:03] Right.
[00:47:04] And what I find even harder to swallow is the PC fact that they got 20 times the opportunity to get rank one rewards last week in weekly league, for example, by cost.
[00:47:14] They can just go into the algorithm and change it, or they can just disconnect a player when playing you.
[00:47:20] But I think this is a first step from EA to go into.
[00:47:24] There's one thing which is really bugging me though, Chris.
[00:47:28] And that is the fact they're not communicating it.
[00:47:32] Why not put out the message saying, okay, we might been a little bit lax.
[00:47:37] Maybe don't even say that.
[00:47:39] We've been noticing a lot of third party apps connecting on our servers.
[00:47:44] We are once again saying you, it's against teams of service, terms of service and players that we see doing it get a five day ban or whatever.
[00:47:55] And then go strike.
[00:47:57] At least give player a little bit of a warning because you can't allow something for a year.
[00:48:02] So, if you're suddenly disallow it.
[00:48:05] They didn't pay any attention to it.
[00:48:08] They ignored it.
[00:48:09] Then suddenly start soft banning.
[00:48:12] I call this the soft banning people.
[00:48:13] I think the soft ban is a sort of, okay, you can now get a warning.
[00:48:17] But I feel it's a little bit, it's not that, like, I think it's a good thing.
[00:48:24] I feel for the players that sort of feel worse for using a convenient app to do things.
[00:48:30] But you can't say it's not against the rules.
[00:48:33] So, I understand that, John.
[00:48:35] But actually, if you go into a foot bin and you look for an SBC solution, if you extrapolate it that way, you know, you're still putting some effort.
[00:48:43] I mean, I can make a puzzle.
[00:48:45] I like this.
[00:48:46] SBC is called a puzzle, right?
[00:48:48] Mm-hmm.
[00:48:48] Squad building challenge or some puzzle.
[00:48:50] These are puzzles.
[00:48:51] If I make a Sudoku and I suck at puzzles, mate.
[00:48:54] But if I make a Sudoku and I ask you, Chris, can you take a gander and maybe tell me what this could be?
[00:49:00] And you tell us it's a seven and how cheers my things.
[00:49:02] That's what looking up foot bin is.
[00:49:04] If I tell you, Chris, he's my pen.
[00:49:08] You got five minutes.
[00:49:09] I'll go to the loo.
[00:49:10] And if you fill in my form, I will tell everyone that I did it.
[00:49:14] It's a bit different.
[00:49:16] And I think that's what the apps do for you as well.
[00:49:18] And I get the convenience I do, but it's not a fair playing count against the players that don't do it.
[00:49:24] I mean, we are saying that sometimes you're like, I might be too kind.
[00:49:33] You know me, right?
[00:49:34] I'm a little bit too strict on following the rules when we play games.
[00:49:37] But I also think I run a company that helps players perform in this game.
[00:49:43] And I would never feel good about doing something that is against the rules.
[00:49:50] Meanwhile, telling everyone they can follow the rules and get better.
[00:49:53] That sort of feels good.
[00:49:54] So I've never used any.
[00:49:55] I can say that with a straight face.
[00:49:57] I've never used any of those add-ons, but I'm not against people using them for their convenience.
[00:50:04] But I think either EA should like moderate them or work together with some of these guys to make guys or girls.
[00:50:10] I don't know guys or girls to make their app or their experiences better, which is also right.
[00:50:18] But for now they draw a line in the sand and I think they should communicate about it, but I'm not too fussed about them following up on it because maybe it's.
[00:50:27] It solves a couple of things and we've got some comments in sending in Chris that people say, well, just leave the PC players.
[00:50:33] Let's just cut them off.
[00:50:35] But I just saw the numbers and there's more than one.
[00:50:38] I think 600,000 players something playing.
[00:50:41] You can't like cut off 600,000 players.
[00:50:44] I think either.
[00:50:45] I ran a poll on take talk on Instagram and asking.
[00:50:51] What do you consider this a better good thing?
[00:50:53] You know what people say it's literally 50 50.
[00:50:56] I think currently it's 48% saying it's unfair.
[00:51:00] I think both sides stand for everyone.
[00:51:02] But I think if EA now communicates it, they draw a line in the sense and then start following up.
[00:51:08] I think it's all it's going to be a better experience for everyone in long term.
[00:51:13] No, John, as long as it doesn't just stop with these guys.
[00:51:16] That's what I'd say to you in that one is if EA are going to go for people who cheat, then don't go for the low hanging fruit for the guys who are just, you know, a better convenience on an SBC.
[00:51:26] Go after the cheaters.
[00:51:29] Let's see.
[00:51:29] Right.
[00:51:29] We're starting here.
[00:51:30] This is an easy one.
[00:51:31] You're banned for five or five days, two weeks over on the app.
[00:51:34] That's fine.
[00:51:35] Okay.
[00:51:35] No problem.
[00:51:35] That's on the app.
[00:51:36] But if you do it on the, if you get caught for coin selling, for example, or coin, that's like a hard ban.
[00:51:42] And if you get caught, I know players, I know teams, I actually know teams.
[00:51:46] I won't mention them on there, of course, but I know teams that have one paid account where they put all the FIFA points in.
[00:51:52] Yeah.
[00:51:52] So they pay for, but they split that accounts for tournaments and performances just because they don't want to spend five times for them for the team.
[00:52:02] I know teams and players like that, that also got banned because they use each other account.
[00:52:06] And that's not a five day companion app ban.
[00:52:09] That's like a proper, your account suspended ban.
[00:52:12] So I know those situations as well.
[00:52:14] But I think honestly, if you're not performing well or not playing on the, if you, if you look at the pro scene, Chris,
[00:52:22] there's always at the end of the year, like a big line of bans being handed out, like account suspensions, like your account done.
[00:52:31] Right. You can't, it's always around the time where people qualified because then they start checking those accounts and they're like,
[00:52:38] yeah, this isn't this, this feels weird.
[00:52:40] And then you see a couple of bans coming up.
[00:52:42] I also think that those automatic orders, the way they could check some of these things aren't that easy.
[00:52:49] But if they look into one player and look at their transactions or their, uh, coin balance, then you can very easily see.
[00:52:57] The problem is we've got millions and millions of players.
[00:53:00] So it's a little bit harder to see.
[00:53:04] I'm not against it, but I do think communicate it and go against everyone.
[00:53:09] And I like, I also think a little bit nuanced.
[00:53:11] I've not seen anyone being properly banned for this.
[00:53:14] I see people getting, uh, limited companion app access for a short period.
[00:53:20] And I think it wouldn't surprise me.
[00:53:22] That's just a weekend if I'm almost just to give them a warning.
[00:53:25] Yeah. No, fair enough, John.
[00:53:27] But as I say, let's hope it doesn't end there because the guys who are selling their services,
[00:53:31] the guys who are buying coins, they are the real cheaters in this game.
[00:53:34] And the people who use those add-ons that improve their performance, you know, I think it's particularly PC players.
[00:53:40] They're the real cheaters as well.
[00:53:42] 100%.
[00:53:42] And the guys using the apps for their SPC convenience or the transfer value on players, get me wrong.
[00:53:50] I don't think, I don't consider you cheaters.
[00:53:53] I don't consider you bad people because you use it.
[00:53:56] It's for convenience reasons.
[00:53:58] I almost wish I could do it myself.
[00:54:01] Right.
[00:54:03] But in the end, it is a black and white rule that it is against the services.
[00:54:07] So it's not like, and it's not like you're losing your account either currently.
[00:54:11] Right.
[00:54:12] So, um, yeah, enough on that.
[00:54:15] We'll do the full show on what's possible.
[00:54:17] We'll be seeing soon though, because we've been gathering evidence to say the least, Chris.
[00:54:22] Uh, and you don't want to know what all came out of that.
[00:54:25] Well, stay tuned for that one.
[00:54:27] Um, Chris, uh, we normally end this week on, you haven't yoked that clue, but if he's sick,
[00:54:35] so we got two people and you know, the player.
[00:54:37] So that's a bit weird.
[00:54:39] Yes.
[00:54:40] You've think you've thought about something else.
[00:54:42] And with that, something else comes if you get the answer, right.
[00:54:47] And you combine that with a review on Apple podcast or Spotify, you put in, give us a five-star review.
[00:54:54] You put in the answer of the, uh, what you're about to ask.
[00:54:59] You can win.
[00:55:01] You want to mention it to people?
[00:55:03] An amazing, and I mean amazing looking cap.
[00:55:07] John, pull up on the screen.
[00:55:08] Let's see.
[00:55:08] It looks amazing.
[00:55:10] I've said that numerous times now.
[00:55:12] You did.
[00:55:13] You did.
[00:55:13] You did.
[00:55:14] But, uh, yeah, it's our new, uh, for a review cap.
[00:55:18] Of course, it's available on the website, but we give him one away to someone giving the right answer on the next question.
[00:55:24] Yes.
[00:55:24] If you put it on Spotify, cause we always ask for put a little, give us a five-star review and stuff.
[00:55:28] And you guys are, you've been amazing lately doing that.
[00:55:32] So what's one more review and a chance to win that or mention it next Friday on the show.
[00:55:37] Who won it?
[00:55:37] Chris.
[00:55:38] Yes.
[00:55:38] And we'll send it to you free of shipping or worldwide.
[00:55:41] We'll make it happen.
[00:55:41] So has to be inside the review guys has to be inside the review.
[00:55:46] That's what we're saying here.
[00:55:47] So the question is, it's very simple.
[00:55:50] Who, sorry, which company is the world's largest tire producer?
[00:55:55] Who produces the most tires per year?
[00:56:00] Leave that company name in the review.
[00:56:03] I almost wanted to answer it.
[00:56:04] Cause I know it.
[00:56:04] I do.
[00:56:05] I know you know it.
[00:56:06] Yeah.
[00:56:06] But I know, you know, I, yeah, I won.
[00:56:09] I won.
[00:56:10] Yeah.
[00:56:10] You can't win your own cap, John.
[00:56:11] Come on.
[00:56:12] I'll share a real collection of them.
[00:56:13] But yeah, that is the question.
[00:56:14] Who is the world's-
[00:56:15] I will wear the cap though.
[00:56:16] We've ordered the first batch.
[00:56:17] So don't worry about it.
[00:56:19] Yeah.
[00:56:19] So who is the world's largest tire producer?
[00:56:22] Leave that company's name inside the review and they will announce the winner next week.
[00:56:27] We'll do a draw.
[00:56:28] Do we have a sponsorship with them?
[00:56:30] Hey, who knows?
[00:56:31] We might do after you guys mentioned it enough times in the, in the review.
[00:56:36] And let me say, John would be delighted.
[00:56:38] There's a clue for you.
[00:56:40] Yes.
[00:56:43] Oh, that's a good question.
[00:56:45] I almost, I have nothing to answer, which is weird.
[00:56:47] Chris.
[00:56:48] I know.
[00:56:48] I was the one of winning with Joe.
[00:56:50] I haven't enjoyed that clue though.
[00:56:51] Yes.
[00:56:52] So as people who have been in Crete realize I am a great quiz master for those that won
[00:56:56] the rubber ducks there in May as well.
[00:57:00] So yeah, that's a great question.
[00:57:02] And get your answers in the review, please.
[00:57:04] Definitely.
